When I was an adorable little boy in the sixites my friend and I loved playing in the huge,well stocked bomb shelter in his house. Built by a prepper relative who wasted all his life savings and time on it .His wife,kids etc had all their time wasted. He sounded exactly like this guy.

Where I live in the U.S. building code requires houses to have metal strapping to hold the foundation to the house so the house doesn't slide off of it during an earthquake. Also, the walls have to be shear resistant. The big destructive earthquakes where the homes crumble and cave in are usually in third world countries where homes are poorly constructed.

Why would Mexico be a safer or more practical location than anywhere in the US??
