I cant get mine to flower
:-(
I made it with Woodglut plans!
ОтветитьGreat video thank you, I hope I can get my wisteria to flower now, I just was just randomly pruning them before when the growth was getting a bit too out of control!
ОтветитьThank you Mike. If I take a small branch from a big Wisyeria, and plant it in a large container, will it live and make flowers?
ОтветитьHi Mike, thanks for the video, are you going to do a Feb/Mar video for the wisteria?
ОтветитьI did the same with Woodglut :)
ОтветитьIs it same by campsis?
ОтветитьHi Mike can you make a video for February pruning for wisteria please! Thanks!
ОтветитьThank you Mike!
ОтветитьI will try to do it with Woodglut plans.
ОтветитьMine is undeniably out of control I need to figure out how to get it back in control without killing it😂
ОтветитьWell explained Mike cheers 👌
ОтветитьGood info!
ОтветитьHello!! HELP My wisteria does not sprout from old wood. It is June 1st and I have growth coming from the ground- which will be 15-20 ft by September. I live in Denver CO Zone 5-6. Do you think the wisteria begins to leaf-out and then dies off every year- it does get hot very cold (repeatedly) through the spring? But I see other wisteria growing on old wood here. Aunt Dee and Blue Moon- South facing against brick??
ОтветитьWhat if you have the wisteria grown out to how you want it. Seems if every year you cut back the whippy ends to five buds, then back to two or three in early spring, that eventually over several years it would just continue getting bigger. Can you keep cutting back to where it was previously?
ОтветитьI have a wisteria that's totally out of control. I call it the blob. It occupies the majority of my center frot yard. I love it, but have a absolutely no idea what to do with the gorgeous thing/blob... what
ОтветитьHi Mike I planted 2 wisteria plants against the fence I have never pruned it , obviously it's gone wild with hardly any flowers, shall I prune it right back,
ОтветитьHi: My wisteria was lovely this year. It didn't get trimmed last year. I know though that it needs to be trimmed twice a year. The problem is that I live in Eastern Canada. Pruning in July-August is no problem. However, in February-March, it is too cold and too much snow to get out there with a ladder. Is there another time I can prune? May isn't always the greatest either. Could I prune may be in June and then again Sept-Oct. ?
ОтветитьUse a bulldozer and good luck getting rid of that crap!
ОтветитьHello Mike, Your video is very helpful. I do have a question, I have a very large, older wisteria. I live in upstate NY and leave every year for Florida at the end of October. I never know how to trim it because I am in between the two suggested cuttings when I leave. What would you suggest? Thank you
ОтветитьWould it be horrible if I pruned my wisteria in November?
ОтветитьThanks💐
ОтветитьHello This is the best video on how to Wisteria subject. Thank you. Please Can you do a video on when to apply what fertiliser. Thank you for a easy to understand UK video.
ОтветитьHow easy is wisteria to propagate? Could you use the cuttings to water root new plants?
ОтветитьSemoga sehat dan sukses selalu , hadir mengikuti 🙏🙏
ОтветитьMike, is it possible that my wisteria just doesn't bloom? It is a 15 year old plant that has nice healthy greenery but never does it go into bloom. Is this common? I really want to see it flower!
ОтветитьHi there regarding the tendrils you tie in to the structure, do these a,so need to be pruned back to two buds in the winter prune ?
ОтветитьCan you propagate new plants from the whips you cut off? Or maybe layer them like you do with blackberry canes to create a second bush? I have an American variety (amethyst falls) but I suspect it's likely very similar to the Japanese or Chinese but less aggressive..
ОтветитьSay 'I watched wippy growth while waiting for West indies wickets winning really fast
ОтветитьThat was super helpful. Thank you very much. Really well explained!
ОтветитьI have watched several videos and no one has actually demonstrated as clearly as you have thank you
ОтветитьCan one propagate the whippies u cut off??? Gr8 video
ОтветитьMuy informativo el video. Gracias!!!
ОтветитьWe moved into a home that has 2 Wisteria trees. We’ve been here 2 seasons. Each summer one of the trees has flowers ( not that many) and the second one has never had any. Is it because one is male and one female or should I be doing something to encourage flower growth? The trees both have a lot of floats and look good otherwise.
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial! Short and simple! Loved the zoom in.
ОтветитьI will train mine. She’s very young. But the deer keep eating it!!!! I have it caged now. 😢
Ответить🌺Hi Mike,
I have a Malabar Madhu Malati right next to my Wisteria and it has planted itself across the walkway into the wisteria. What should I do?
Thank you. This is so helpful.
ОтветитьThank u for this 🙏🏼😍
ОтветитьHi Mike,
I missed the July Prune, should I do it now ( Sept)? Thank you very much for your attention!
How far should it be cut back in winter if the summer pruning didn't happen?
Ответитьgreat video
ОтветитьThank you, perfect advice for what i needed
ОтветитьDo those whippy growths die in the winter please? They look very fragile
ОтветитьOh ok iv been cutting the wrong end haha 😂 iv been cutting from the tip make sense now why not many flowers this year. Thank you your the only one with very good demonstration. Thank you
ОтветитьThank you, thank you, thank you. Finally someone explains specifically about the ‘whippy’ bits (that’s what I call them too). I’m new to Wisteria and you’ve you’ve explained so clearly even I understand.
ОтветитьBrilliant video Mike, thank you for the clear, concise tips without the distraction of ‘elevator’ music! You’ve just gained a new subscriber! 😊
ОтветитьMorning Mike My pergola is in shape of triangle and the canopy over last 10 years has completely filled in. How much should I cut it back to allow air circulation? I made mistake of planting 8 seeds at the base wrapping it around and old metal pipe that was a laundry line. The blooms were prolific hanging down in May/June but my concern at this time is how much should I thin out the canopy so light and air can freely filter through. I would like to send you a few pics so you see what I do and can offer best advice. Let me know how best to do that, please. Thank you kindly Mike!! Donna B from Mass, USA
ОтветитьGreat stuff, thanks Mike.. watching from the Southern Highlands Nsw Australia
