Freaking hate the new zombie mechanics… really hope they get reworked. The random spawns are stupid and I like the hoards but they need to rework how they work… it should only be if zombies are nearby not just a hoard out of thin air.

I have played this game, I find this game rather unique but at the same time it is a fucked up game.

why would you craft something and its on the ground instead of your inventory?

Are you dragging loot from containers to the ground? If not, you might want to as each item you do that with will raise your awareness. Also, searching zombies will sometimes give back arrows you couldn't recover just standing next to the body. Lastly, if a zombie calls a horde on you just pick a direction and RUN LIKE HELL! Forget recovering arrows or anything, just run

I'd argue that the most ambitious survival game currently on the market is Rust. DayZ has wonderful systems for survival and crafting but the movement mechanics, base building system, AI, performance optimization and just in general most of the core coding is, at least in my opinion, wonky and janky on a level that I can only really compare to ARK. Deadside runs slightly better and feels more fluent than DayZ but instead lacks most of the actual survival and crafting systems and honestly, Scum and other similar titles in the genre that have popped up over the years simply look and feel very off to play, desync is usually through the roof, which for me completely kills the joy of PvP gunplay against other players... These games are all a bit too ambitious for their time, I don't think the engine tech and/or server performance is there yet. And just to be clear, Rust has issues too, not denying that at all. It just feels miles better than any of the other survival/crafting PvP games I've played so far personally. Maybe in like 4-5 years, we could have a game with these sorts of systems and features for a true survival experience and still feels closer to something like at least current PUBG or something in fluidity and responsiveness. I'm no developer but I don't need to be one to recognize when a game feels like ass. ^^, Glad you're enjoying it, though, that's the most important thing, power to you. I don't mean to complain about your content at all, all I'm saying is I'd really love a DayZ that actually works.

The fact i bought this back in 2017 and its only come this far in almost 7 years is sad this is less progress than BSG and thats saying something

im having a hard time understanding the appeal of this game . searching tons of boxes and containers and 9 out of 10 are empty.
Zombies keep respawning after you clear an area????wtf is that?
and no food for some overly complicated health system that is not at all realistic. people in real life dont care about all that crap. they just eat stuff. and even health nuts just eat healthy stuff , its like....i dont get it.

It seems okay but I managed to get a motorcycle working, scavenged over an hour and a half to get enough fuel to get nearly a quarter of a tank of fuel after doing everything I could to get a gas can and then when I finally fuel up my bike I can barely get about 30 seconds of run time before it's all gone, they really need to fix this. I can only imagine if I poured a gallon of fuel into anything and it only runs as far as I can sneeze.

I don't know man, sure looks still insanely boring.

I liked sleepers in houses. Also they had one update around 0.6 where zombies moved in large areas and chased after birds, so they wandered long ways randomly. Those were the best puppets imo.

i really hope we get a zombies rework for the mesh and models - they have done it with the characters hopefully we get better Textures and better looking zombies moving forward.

Another awesome video man and that might be the best scum survival episode yet proppa action packed zombie hordes chasing you then they was attacking the bear and the zombie who climbed up to get you but fell and died that was funny plus your slowly dying and gotta hurry up and find meds and that adrenaline rush at the end with the air drop an absolute cracker it can only get better cannot wait for the next episode well done man 👍

From what i've seen scum is like dayz and rust combined i may be wrong since i have never played scum

Theres some tweaking to be done for sure but all in all a great update. Look forward to the future of both SCUM and this series.
