you may have hated the scene between the two monsters but its god dang perfect for representing them and who they are, specially ody, one could say that hes taken the metaphysical/metaphorical form of the cyclops because thats the mightiest creature hes ever faced and defeated (its good he didnt imagine poseidon, hubris like that would give him a fate FAR worse)
