@JT, have you ever done like "tutorials" for, not basic photography fundamentals, but specifically how you might set up for doing the podcast/video thang? And if not, would you be interested in doing something like that, probably on your channel rather than here I guess, lol.
I know a lot about doing sound, I had a micro recording studio in my room growing up and was much better at recording/mastering than I was at playing music, and learned a lot, and over the past 20 years it's only gotten easier to accomplish, what I don't know jack, or shit about is the video side of it, I'm decent enough taking snapshots when I'm hiking or whatever but, I've also never made a video which didn't look like go-pro footage from Silent Hill, so, any advice or pointers would be AWESOME.

China apparently has better "know how" and skill at mining for those resources, in addition to production. Because that is what they've been doing for decades. They are actually very good at it because they have so much real world experience in how to leverage technology with the latest techniques. Whereas the US just brokers deals but lacks the actual practical knowledge of how to run heavy industrial operations the way China does. So it's not purely regulatory, it is in fact a "skill issue."

I think it's actually comparable to TSMC as chip manufacturers. Some things you learn and perfect by doing and iteration. Having theory alone isn't enough to bring it to reality. Although I guess China has caught up there as well from what I've been hearing.
