Not watching this as it is sponsored by Proton
ОтветитьExcellent information! Thank you for explaining the big difference in the security of these two.
ОтветитьFor me, it's hard to pay for an email account just for banking. ProtonMail has so many features, such as aliases and password manager that I'd like to use for every day life from opening a credit card to entering a free trip to Hawaii. I'd hate to purchase two paid accounts. Do you have thoughts on that?
ОтветитьThanks, Josh~
ОтветитьFyi, there is now a proton calendar app
ОтветитьHow can use of Proton email protect the user if their phones & computers have been permanently breached/hacked and no amount of resets or new tech can keep the determined scumbags out? The "private key" will be taken before even reaching the intended recipient.
ОтветитьFrom a practical point of view, how do let your recipients know the password you’ve set on an email?
ОтветитьSeding an encrypted email outside Proton is not very wise. We should teach people to NOT click any link in emails they receive for safety reasons. This case is oposie. They have to click. That's a weak point. Someone who knows your habits can easily use this method for phishig.
ОтветитьI don't think you should call the shared symmetric password a "private key". private key has a particular meaning within asymmetric encryption, and you should never share it
ОтветитьProton just blocked my EMAIL account over a VPN payment dispute, has nothing to do with my email. I trusted protonmail for my important communication. Now I have lost contact with my doctor, medical records (can't log in), prescription renewals, not to mention financial institutions. Until it is rectified (I sent proton a message) Think twice before trusting Protonmail. Just don't use it

ОтветитьReset my password now my email messages are encrypted, any one to help me on this
ОтветитьI live in philippines.can i use proton email service over here?
ОтветитьYou should do an updated video on this. Lots of updates in Proton since.
ОтветитьIdk if I trust a "honest review" video with a referral link
Ответитьhonestly its good as a private email account, well more personal stuff, like for nsfw websites, other than that, I probably wouldn't really use it for anything else.
ОтветитьGreat video, however I've been using the mobile app for the calendar for years now, very very satisfactorily.
ОтветитьProtonmail since this video has been updated a lot and looks a lot better than this.
ОтветитьVery interesting and informative. Thank you.
Ответить? I found this video while researching if Proton Mail is a good solution for multiple online identies relative to mail, contacts, calendar, etc. I want to me able to have my
My family / hobbies @ proton
My Work @ Proton
My Sensitive Information @ proton.
Does anyone have insight into Proton for this purpose, or can they recommend an alternative service?
I waffle between switching because I love google services but do like the idea of doing what I can to keep data private. (Even though encryption in email sucks because a simple screenshot can defeat the purpose of expiration). I do find myself missing google calendar etc and wonder how much it really matters.
ОтветитьQuestion; if I upload a pic to proton drive, does it is scanned by proton? Is it also stored on encrypted mode while in transit and at rest? Can proton look at the pic when it’s stored in proton drive?
Ответитьhow would you send your bank the encrypted message and password? well just the password part is confusing. how would you send them the password. wouldnt people be able to see this password if you send it through the same email?
ОтветитьIf I send an email via proton can that email be traced back to my IP address or is every email going out thru a VPN thru Proton?
ОтветитьI use privatemail by TorVPn team it’s not shabby I do have a monthly payment
ОтветитьIt sounds good to secure emails with a pass-code. Sensitive information sent to family members seems straight forward (you can text or tell them the password). But in dealing with your financial institutions ... are the happy to deal with the passwords needed to unlock the password protected messages or documents ?
ОтветитьI love PROTONMAIL! So awesome!
ОтветитьPeople still use email other than work?? 🤣
ОтветитьI use protonmail for its spam filter. It's 100% better than any other client.
ОтветитьIt is a chore to change, impossible it is not.
ОтветитьWhat if the bank sends an email to your proton account? Is that encrypted end to end and how do you open that. All emails sent from proton require a key?
ОтветитьI had 0 problems de-google and switching to proton with all my files, mails etc (ultimate user). I only use photos as i dont know whats the best option for me compared to google photos.
ОтветитьI have just set up a free Proton account for the relatively few emails that require that extra level of security. Thanks for the information.
ОтветитьI like how he says conspiracy theorist for people who are freethinkers.
ОтветитьI have had nothing but issues with Protonmail Bridge and interacting with Outlook. Support takes forever to respond. Overall, it is really overrated. I wanted to like it, but it's been a disaster.
ОтветитьGoogle is trying to become Skynet. They can have the data of NPCs instead.
Ответить365 also offers password protected email now. Is it encrypted? Probably. Works the same as ProtonMail's email link
ОтветитьI've been using ProtonMail paid from the beginning and haven't been hacked even once. Using a paid account got me their calendar and drive when they were in beta. A free account is ok, but a paid account gets you so much more perks. Wouldn't change anything. BTW, their customer service is astounding.
ОтветитьConsidering this for my banking
ОтветитьDO THEY HAVE A CALENDAR ON THE MOBIL PHONES YET BECUZ IM NEW TO PROTON MAIL..I CANT FIND IT AND THAT WAS MY WHOLE REASONING FOR DOWNLOADING THE APP..UGGGGGG🤔
ОтветитьIf they are sponsoring this video you are trying to get ppl to switch over
ОтветитьGreat video!!
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьDoes proton not process the data after decryption? (after entering password).
ОтветитьI use protonmail solely for my business contacts. Currently using their free vpn but thinking of upgrading to one of their payed for versions.
Don’t know what you think of free vpn’s , probably not a good idea.
It almost made sense. If you send the ete encrypted message AND send the key to the person what keeps an intruder from intercepting the key too?
Ответитьprotonmail is the worst!!!
