I’ve said it before and will say it again. You’re an awesome shooter Ray. Another excellent video and great preparation and confidence booster for your forthcoming Elk hunt which we all hope will be successful which it should be based on the shooting display in this video. Keep us posted
ОтветитьThose poor elk don’t stand a chance!
Enjoy the hunt Ray, because after you make the kill is when the hard work begins!
Hey Ray what tripod do you like using and have you had anytime on the Bog infinite?
ОтветитьWhy I train with Ray, Gary and XP Academy. Good stuff.
Ответитьthat’s a very sweet shoot 🎯
ОтветитьI don't think you really needed to hold right by the way the plate rocked looked like left edge.... Well right edge facing the plate ......Pretty darn good
ОтветитьWhat model of RRS tripod are you using? Great video!
ОтветитьGreat Shooting Ray!
ОтветитьI believe with the solid coppers you have to have the barrel scrubbed completely clean before shooting copper then nothing but copper after that to get optimal accuracy. I could be wrong though. Afterall I read it on the internet.
ОтветитьHate to tell ya but chances are your not going to have time to pull out all your fancy gizmo elk hunting
ОтветитьMy 260 cold bore tends to be left and high 👍
ОтветитьHave you tried the Federal Premium with the 175 gr. ELD-X? They’re running 3010 fps out of my Bergara HMR, but it doesn’t seem to like them as much as the Hornady Precision Hunter.
Ответитьwhat range finder is that
ОтветитьIs it true at 1000 yards shooting with tripod to lower the scope elevation by 0.1 to 0.2 Mil compare with running bipod?
ОтветитьWhat tripod are you running there? Will you be using the tripod on your elk hunt? Great shots!
ОтветитьVery nice.
ОтветитьIncredible shooting. You are a stud!
ОтветитьHolly momma! Amazing!
ОтветитьWell done your a hell of a shooter! Thanks Ray
ОтветитьI hope your Elk hunt is better than mine was. All I got was a high altitude walk-a-bout. Only elk I saw was riding out to our area in the dark morning, and again coming back. They all were on land either not in my area or on private land. Nothing during shooting hours. Good shooting, as always, and good luck with your hunt.
ОтветитьGreat video and very good content, and a vert good point to make for a hunter, a three shot group from a bench rest with a gun thats warmed up is one thing. this was a very practical senenaro. so you are driving up a fire road and you see an elk at 350 yards and you jump out of your truck and do the same thing !
ОтветитьNo doubt shooting video of the year. New gun, factory ammo, different environmentals and still crushed it. Talk about practice what you preach.
ОтветитьThat was Awesome Ray 🍻
ОтветитьGoodnjob x
ОтветитьIm a elk.hunter most shots are under 500. I.never shoot past.that ethic kill ..i.also shoot a 175. 7prc
ОтветитьNo surprise as much as I’ve seen you shoot ya never disappoint 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьThat's awesome mate that 1026yd shot looked like it hit waterline too 👍
ОтветитьFantastic! I hope your able to record your hunt! Love your channel! Been learning tons. Thanks for all that you do, it is greatly appreciated! Good luck on the hunt!
ОтветитьI built a 7mm PRC on a Sako TRG and it is a competitive rifle for F Class Open. 190grn ATip @ 2880fps.
ОтветитьNice shooting Ray!
ОтветитьI am watching this video on my first elk hunt! I got mine last night. I am at a ranch that is super awesome up in Idaho.
ОтветитьOutstanding! Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьImpressive!
ОтветитьThank you Ray for bringing back my passion about shooting.
Havent touched my gun saves for the last decade but now im really motivated to get back into it. Back then I only had the option to use a 100 meter range, so I kind of lost interest. Not sure if you know the rifle, but I have a SIG 550 in 223 with a Schmitt&Bender 12-50*56 PMII. I bought a prolongation for the shaft (500 Euros...) but the rest is stock. Can you recommend a good bipod? The original is not very stable. Also would a muzzle brake increase precision? It has almost no recoil anyways. What kind of accuracy can I expect from it?
Thanks and best regards from Netherlands!
Great Video as usual Ray. Excellent shooting! Not surprised at all with you making those hits. Saw you shoot in person at Clinton House Plantation on their mile range. Got my 2 coins that day shooting the mile with my 7 PRC. That 18 inch gong is tough to hit but got it done with the factory Hornady 180's. The 7 PRC is a great round. I love mine! I shoot it out to mile about every other month in Immokalee Florida. The factory Hornady 180's do an excellent job taming the mile. Going to try the Federal 175 ELD-X next month
ОтветитьRay!.. no sooner do i feel a little more confident about my shooting.. you go and RAISE the BLOODY BAR!!! Now i am afraid.. that is simply beyond my abilities. Fantastic to see though. You are pulling the rest of the world's riflemen up by the dang bootstraps with your content!
Superb!
Love your videos but cold bore needs to be on a smaller target than that 😂😂 Try 1 moa !
ОтветитьGreat video!!!
ОтветитьSTOP it Ray, you're costing me more money! ADD TO CART
ОтветитьThat rifle was insanely light... That break on the end of the suppressor is doing some work against that 7PRC for sure!
ОтветитьAwesome Job 👊
ОтветитьYou are the first round hits KING...
ОтветитьWhat's that phone adapter for your spotting scope?
ОтветитьWith your training and as long as I don’t have to lay in the grass either, I believe I can make that shot. 😂. My dope would be 3.3 mils hold right edge. Good shootin, bro.
ОтветитьHey Ray,
Really enjoyed last weekend. Thanks so much.
I found a ballistics app that allows you to use Density Altitude. It’s called “Ballistics”.
I’ve played around with it entering different DAs with my rifle parameters and it very nearly matches what I was shooting last weekend. If I change the DA more than 1000, it only changes my elevation point one or point two mils for each distance. If I’m shooting at a standard sized silhouette and know my dope from last weekend, hold centerline and hold right or left for wind, I should be on target for impact correct? So I assume the point one or two mil difference is for small targets at distance?
Also, when you’re shooting PRS matches, do you shoot suppressed or muzzle brake?
Thanks,
Dave Johnson
Quais lunetas vc indicaria para a caça do javali.
ОтветитьBergara did consult Ed Shilen for their barrel production, so that ought to tell you something about their accuracy.
ОтветитьNice. Most impressive. What did you use to set the phone camera on the spotting scope please.
ОтветитьWhat range finding bino’s were you using, Great video and great shooting.
