Funny and I totally agree! Always considered Black Magic but the cameras are so un useable in comparison to run and gun already established great cameras. Thanks for telling Black Magic to get their act together.

You're talking about in the still image world, but in the movie industry full frame IS large format. It's been that way since before digital. Arri's large format, full frame camera is called the LF, not to be confused with the Arris 65.

As we now know, the fixed screen was purposeful to get people to buy the BM detachable monitor. Also, I think there’s a good possibility BM slapped a useless screen on the side because it looks cool to the “content creators” (eg, people with little talent and a penchant to color grade like a caffeinated Tasmanian devil).

Not sure what the big issue with the screen is. Every single camera op I know throws a bigger monitor on their fx3’s, fx6’s, canon’s, etc. Those tiny 2.5” screens are garbage and virtually useless.
