Why are people more worried about PSU D-line getting to Gabriel when Oregon has the better O-line and the most experienced QB who gets the ball out and can run when he needs to. If anything people should be worried about PSU having to block Oregon D-line because PSU O-line is not that good.

We in the Big Ten part of the country have reason to resent a Pac 10 team coming in and dominating so I'm pulling for Penn State but Oregon will probably win and good for them if they do. They deserve the respect but we don't have to like them.

Biggest narrative driven statistic is Franklin’s performance in big games. It’s people discounting situation entirely for individual results to arrive at the erroneous conclusion that he can’t rise to the occasion. This guy brought a program back from the brink of collapse after the worst ncaa punishment of a generation. Penn State didn’t even have a full cycle of 100% scholarship allotment until 2020 on top of fines/reputational damage etc. You play Michigan and Ohio State annually with a range of 5-20 less scholarship athletes for a few years, no coach in America is gona fair all that well. And he usually has his teams a play away from getting it done! Begging people to think critically about this for once 😂

TN and OSU are pretty much locked in to the 8 vs 9 first round matchup, with the #1 seed getting that winner in the quarters. That game alone will be much tougher than getting a home game against either UNLV, Clemson or the Big 12 champ, followed by Boise State or SMU in the second round. So a home playoff game against a cupcake and then an extremely winnable quarter final matchup for the 5 seed. I’d rather get that path to the semi’s despite not getting the extra week’s rest than having to play a very difficult game against the winner of TN vs OSU in the quarters. The first round matchups don’t start until the 20th (only 1 game that day which is a Friday) and the 21st, so the 5 seed is still getting 2 weeks rest.

Oregon is going to win going away. 38-17 Ducks. This is easy. Penn State can't score on their girlfriends. Their offense lacks. Oregon will stack the box, shut down the running game, bring pressure and lock up the back end. I don't see Penn State scoring past 17 points.
