If you ask me who I am or what I do, I don't have an answer - I just made a video about this myself about why I changed my alias from things I like to do, to what I see myself as. I am captured by nature, trees and water specifically, and I want to think of these things when I think of my own spirit. I am Roots in Rivers because I am a deep thinker in search of peace. Being a painter, crafter, storyteller, poet etc does not capture this on their own. We are more than what our societies have conditioned us to believe. The human spirit is expansive and the horizon is endless. Let's just be and enjoy one another's "being".

I love your videos so much. The new bed placement is delightful! And watching you share all these insights into life and being an artist but not putting labels on it resonates so much for me. I have always had a hard time describing myself as an artist, thinking it was me being afraid of the label or not believing in myself as an artist but today you unlocked something for me. I believe I have a hard time saying I am an artist for deeper reasons, because I am so much more. I am a creator, a learner, a sharer. Thank you for the love you put into your life and videos.

There's a concept in Zen Buddhism: at first observation, you see mountains and Mountains because you identify them as mountains, when you look deeper you realize Mountains are not mountains because those "Mountains" are made up of many non-mountain elements. On a deeper level, you realize that mountains are mountains only within the context of mundane reality.

Absolutely strange comparison 😂 but I give birth 2 times unmedicated, both times I was sure I cannot do it but I could both times. But what you said about the mind that makes you think you can’t but it’s an illusion it’s so true! I always give up when it’s getting hard and the results are not as fast as I wanted them. But when I had no choice just to push through I actually could do it! It’s so strange how we put so much limitations on ourselves without even realising. 😅 ps. This is so resonating. If I tell you about me, I also had this belief that I might not have it all. Or if I have it all then I would be doing it all and at one point it might become exhausting having one foot here one foot there. But now I see that when I defocus from the usual thing and do something it actually makes me better at it. I am still trying to find a balance though. But it's a good first step. I am not a college student or a master.I trying to control my sugar so I can walk. I getting there with faith and fate.Bruce Lee said be water. Ich glaube, ich habe mich aus meiner Box sehr gut rausgeholt, als ich trotz meiner Knochenkrankheit anfing, zum Kickboxen zu gehen. Keiner hätte das erwartet und ich selbst auch nicht, bis ich es gemacht habe. 😊 Ich kann es nicht weiterführen aufgrund der Krankheit, aber ich habe die kurze Zeit geliebt und viel über mich gelernt. Vor allem, dass ich viel mehr kann, als ich dachte und vielseitig bin, eben nicht nur die stille Künstlerin. Obwohl ich diesen Teil an mir dennoch sehr liebe. ❤

Valerie, i have seen value though sometimes i just come here for your story, how its feels warm. Beliefs are really these things that steer us in a path i think its a good thing to discover. Im an artist in my heart but not describe it as my identity.
Edit: i had a life ending experience which took my life (specifically in heart and head) and felt very alone cause its like life want me to do this to me, but i know how i became my own enemy because i do everything, want everything, wants everyones love etc but this is a complex topic which has history.
