Driver of human behavior is not 'taste.' It is human themselves. Can most people tell the difference between a similar premium tuna and bluefin tuna in sashimi form? Once cooked, the difference in texture may (or may not) be more readily identified.

If anyone can farm fish well, it would be the Japanese.
I watched a video of the vertical farms in Japan. The atmosphere is somewhat like an e-chip facility, than like a vegetable/fruit facility. The workers seem to lack passion, but not skill or responsibility. They seem to care about a wider field, than to fall in love with a melon or a tomato.
However, even the Japanese can use some outside support, input, points of view.
The walk in the very natural park is pleasant and relaxing. But the segment at the farm/research facility of bluefins is interesting, and pleasantly stimulating.

How does this fish get to grow so big if it's about to be extinct?

That title . Well researched 👏 bluefin tuna is the best meat. The oceans has to offer. It's the beef of the sea, humality knows what tast good, the salmon rever trout, the macral fish. Ble fin is the superior meat of all. All other predetory ocean wild life want to eat. This blue fin is off the rails. Okay thanks for reading ☮️

7 years later, and bluefin tuna is now back to 1880s levels, still some more work to do to get it back to pre-1970s levels but we're making progress.

My fridge is STOCKED with bluefin tuna belly in vacuum seal. If you tasted this fish, its one of the best things your palate will ever experience. Good luck to the conservationists trying to save bluefin. But for me, as long as I am alive. I will EAT this delicious fish.

National Geographic just published an article on how tuna across the world are coming back in incredible numbers. Apparently scientists are surprised that this could happen.
