Parselmouth is like a permanent speak with animals affect like a Druid type of ability turned into some some sort of permanent charm that is passed down through the bloodline
Idk I’m just spitballing
Does this mean that if Nagini had children, they could also inherit the parseltongue gene, without being descendent of Slytherin??? 🤯🤯🤯🤯
ОтветитьUnfortunately, as much as I love this theory, it is disproven by a note found in Salazar's Scriptorium in Hogwarts Legacy, which has been stated to be anchored in Wizarding World Lore and created closely with J.K. Rowling's Team. In the note, he specifically expresses distaste for Muggle-borns and refers to the Basilisk as 'a beast'. In saying that, I do really enjoy this almost AU kind of idea.
ОтветитьI never understood why the chamber of secrets entrance was in the GIRL's bathroom. That has always been odd to me. With this theory it would make sense then that it's there.
ОтветитьI’m thinking that you are wrong sorry
ОтветитьI have a even deeper lore to add to this theory.
What if Herpo the foul like Aberforth's goat affinity had a thing for snakes and the when he created the first horcrux he put his piece of soul into a basilisk, giving him the parselmouth ability and the basilisk the ability to bare him 2 children a boy and a girl, being that the basilisk would be the mother created a maladictus withing the female line and the decendents of the male line retaining the parselmouth ability so that if the basilisk is slytherins wife they could actually also be related.
Even though I don't agree with this theory at all, I always enjoy watching your videos. 😊
ОтветитьAfter seeing this video, y'all should rewatch the video on Salazar Slytherin being the Basilisk
ОтветитьWhatever the true meaning of pure blood meant Salazar, he only wanted to protect the world of magic
ОтветитьI hope this ends up true, cuz it's so romantic!
ОтветитьNice therory that sounds a bit like something taken straight out of one of Lippert's characters debating Neville in Alma Aleron's auditiorium... Also reminds me of some of genetic theories circulating once upon HPLexicon (magic being a genetic trait that expresses as either recessive or dominant allele only, with each expression mode having huge consequences).... and that my copy of Genotype boardgame still sits unpacked...
ОтветитьNot to mention that the entrance to the chamber is in the GIRLS bathroom.
ОтветитьThis is a good theory, in my opinion. Unfortunately though, few parts or sub-theories of this theory are or will be impossible, false, or wrong, or don't/won't work, if or if all of Hogwarts Legacy is/will be canon or is/will be considered or treated as canon.
MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT NOTICE for the following spoilers for Hogwarts Legacy down below. Please do not continue scrolling down to avoid being spoiled with and reading spoilers on significant and important information for Hogwarts Legacy's game or gameplay, plot or specifically subplot, places or locations, characters and character interactions, and character relationships or character relations and connections in the game.
Reason for my first statements or paragraph above:
It's all because of an unnamed or anonymous but most certainly or most undoubtedly Salazar Slytherin's journal page or journal entry that he left in his previously or formerly secret or hidden Scriptorium down in the Hogwarts Castle's Dungeons and near the exclusively Slytherin-accessible Slytherin's common room, which the 5th-year Hogwarts student protagonist (who also can be a Slytherin) and Slytherin students Sebastian Sallow and Ominis Gaunt rediscovered, found, entered, and accessed. Those are the only things I can share for you.
Now, I won't mention anymore details and other information about the journal page or entry and its contents, the Scriptorium, the latter's exact location in the Hogwarts Castle's Dungeons, how the Scriptorium is rediscovered, found, entered, and accessed, who are Sebastian and Ominis, and what are the latter two's relations, connections, interactions, and/or relationships with our 5th-year Hogwarts student protagonist, so I won't spoil you too much or way too much of or about Hogwarts Legacy, although you easily just can look, find, or search for or up these things on your own, especially in and with fan or fandom wikis online, among others.
My friends wife is a basilisk
ОтветитьTo be honest I don't like the mustache
ОтветитьHUGGGE stretch.malidictus are witches that turn into animals - (natural in nature) The basilisk is a chicken egg hatched under a toad = spell of some sort like creating clay golems (unnatural). The first basilisk was made by herpo, and the 2nd by Slytherin so I don't think there is any correlation AT ALL between maledictus and Sally'z wife.
ОтветитьI'm not sure if you guys consider Hogwarts Legacy canon lore, but Ominis Gaunt is another noted descendant that speaks Parstletongue!
ОтветитьThis is a cool theory. But the way to make basilisks is already known and yes they have to be made. A rooster has to hatch the egg of a same on a full moon and there’s more but I forget
ОтветитьDoes that mean Luna's kid can talk to wolves?
ОтветитьTom Riddle gets his ability to talk to snakes from his ancestor Harpo the foul, who is the first creator of a basilisk. The way one creates a basilisk is to hatch a chickens egg under a toad.
ОтветитьSpeaking of parseltongue. You figure the sorting hat wanted to put Harry into Slitherin because of the piece of Voldemort inside of him was more prominent than the qualities he possessed for it?
ОтветитьThis is a more tragic love story than the Titanic.
ОтветитьThis is a theory I like. Usually they’re a bit of a stretch and I like yoga but too much stretching is bad for you. This one while a stretch, does stretch in all the right ways.
ОтветитьCan we have some Durmstrang vids please?!?
ОтветитьYou don't need to be married to have kids.... That's not what makes pregnancy possible.
ОтветитьI want to buy the Fantasic Beast And Where To Find Them but I can't find the copy to refreance al the time
ОтветитьSo the idea is that after getting upset that his friends are willing to teach people with magical blood curses, he decides it best to leave his wife behind and promises his friends that one day his heir will return to the school to slaughter anyone with a blood curse?
Kind of makes him more of a monster for abandoning his wife and turning her into a tool. It also gives the impression that he is so against these blood curses that he doesn't want them accepted into wizard society and is willing to abandon his wife... Yet he sticks it out with her long enough to speak parseltongue well enough that he becomes famous for it? Not sure it all adds up that well.
Pls reply.
There is a wizard named Herpo the Foul who was a Parselmoutb and made the first basilisk. I think that he is true father of Slytherin’s wife and the basilisk he made was himself and he passed his malediction down to his daughter. I think he used his condition as a power and attacked many people. He was mentioned as a dark wizard. If he had the condition, his daughter had it likely. Maybe her desire to fight the condition is why he fell in love with her. Maybe her father despised her. Also Herpo made a horcrux. We didn’t meet his wraith yet but the horcrux might be his own daughter. Maybe the founders made a potion or something which stopped thd malediction genes in the wife herself and prevented their passage down to next generations. Snape could make a potion to stop Dumbledore’s curse for a year. These are FOUNDERS of Hogwarts. They might have made something similar which allowed Slytherins to have kids until the condition resurfaces. The ability to speak Parseltongue remained in the wife and she passed that down to kids. When the condition resurfaced and she became Basilisk permanently, her father’s soul inside started to take control of her and she became a shell of her former self.
The only thing I can think of that would make Nagini not a magical creature is because she's a Horcrux
ОтветитьWith this theory you proved that slytherins are evil because they believe that they are supposed to be
Ответить🤯
ОтветитьI haven't finished the video but I think it's interesting to note that the basilisk never actually intentionally kills anyone, Myrtle was a accident when she looked at the Basilisk and everyone else was just petrified. It could be the last scrapes of a maledictus' humanity refusing to kill, despite having cyclops style "my eyes will kill you" vision
ОтветитьGreat theory, however I have read the book fantastic beasts, and where to find them and it specifically says basilisks are created by having a toad on top of an chicken egg hatch
ОтветитьThat does mean she's a millennium old, though. Maybe Voldy should have just turned into a basilisk.
ОтветитьThere was a Harry Potter “Spin Pop Candy” toy that had a Harry fighting as Basilisk that had a red plumage on its head
Obviously not anything official but I also just figured it was the blood spraying out of where Harry stabbed it when I was younger because I was so accustomed to what the Basilisk looked like in the movies
I'm sure my ex will become a basilisk one day. Seems to fit her.
ОтветитьFollowing this theory. If it's true. The current basilisk might not be his wife but one of their child. One of his offsprings might have inherited the cursed blood of her mother. So they made the cave to protect her.
ОтветитьNo but this has me in tears 😢
ОтветитьPersonally I think that if this is true then I love the idea that Slythern would go down to the chamber in a blindfold and just sit and talk to his wife
ОтветитьPlot twist: the locket was actually instructions so his descendants could go visit grandma.
ОтветитьI always wondered why the other three founders were totally fine with a racist POS threatening to unleash a monster one day and purge the school. If this theory is true then it changes his motives and therefore makes it more believable that the other founders didn't just erase his house and name from the history lol.
ОтветитьHow do you explain the things Harry overhears the basilisk saying as slithers through the school? She's just really hungry or something?
ОтветитьThis theory is terrible. Idk bro, there's only one way to make a basilisk. requires a snake egg hatched by a rooster on a blood moon etc etc and maladictus turn into animals that are common to humans like wolves and snakes, not dragons and thestrals and bogarts.... Snake venom can prevent wounds from closing, its a result of the enzymes in some venoms, nothing magical about it. A larger snake prouces stronger venom and higher quantities of venom.
ALSO ALSO, the scarlet plume for males comes in an add on canon wayyyy after the movie (which isn't canon).
I think snakes just show loyalty to those who speak their language and actually doesn't have anything to do with Tom Riddle being a descendant. It makes more sense to me that someone like Salazar studied snakes and that's how he learned to speak their language. Like he was an expert in legilimency so imagine him learning how to use it on snakes. AND we actually don't know whether parselmouth was passed on to Salazar from his ancestors. Which would make more sense. Harpo the Foul was a parselmouth, and Paracelsus which aren't known to be directly related to Salazar.
This would also kinda explain why the entrance of the chamber is in the girls bathroom, which seems somewhat random otherwise 🤷🏻♂️
Ответитьi love this so much
ОтветитьQuestions: how would he talk to his wife to learn her tongue without getting killed? She turne into a basilisc not a snake.
And how he died? We have this info? How the founders died? Would be a good video
Theory: the basilisk is slytherin DAUGHTER.
1. She actually got the parseltongue from him (keeping the canon)
2. But the curse from her mom (or item 8)
3. If he had a DAUGHTER, he definetely had heirs and the transformation ends in adulthood, so she could have heirs
4. He built the school for her to study and then the Chamber when he understood that he couldnt cure her
5. For him to build the Chamber FOR HIS HEIRS he was certain he had heirs, he probably already had a child
6. He actually built the Chamber bc he knew his heirs would need it
7. Thats why the chamber is in THE LADYS BATHROOM, before completing the transformation, she would transform onde in a while and needed access. That would make a lot more sense If he was building for a female student than a adult woman.
8. The curse could be because of him, since he had the snake symbol and a woman of his age (wife) wouldnt be cursed her whole life bc of him as his daughter would
The mustache is amazing!!!
