Really appreciate this top-notch work. You approach these tests with good rigor, and I appreciate when you plainly state the limitations of the conclusions you can draw with your tests (as with the 100 TV longevity test).

Been using my LG CX as a PC monitor for 3 years now. Most days at 16hrs daily and total hours are at little over 16,000. No Burn In! I'm sure the every 2000 hour pixel refresh helps as well as not having the settings overly bright and forcing everything into dark mode. But it's been great and hopefully stays that way..Knock on wood!

The burn in problem is related to the diffuser and the red pixel interacting with the blue pixel. The green pixel needs to run at bit more density than the others.

I don't understand how OLED monitors are now introduced in the PC market when static content is such an issue. Won't the e.g. Windows taskbar kill every OLED? I am using an LG 38WK95C right now for 7 hours a day since 8600 hours and haven't had a single issue. I am worrying that an upgrade to an OLED would lead to a much short lifespan on a Desktop PC.

Impressive work and attention to detail. Your channel is fast becoming the go to source for product and technology reviews. Well done.

It's kinda funny. My dad has the same plasma flatscreen tv from over a decade ago and the picture quality is still amazing. I sold mine for UHD LED but I wish I could still get a plasma again.

I first noticed burn in on my lg c7 that I bought from new around 6 months ago and seeing as I watch various content including sky sports news with multiple static images, I'm quite impressed.

So in what way oleds are intended to use as pc monitor for work pusposes, with all the time white windows taskbar, and static wallpaper, or email app open all day long. Thats why i upgraded to LED panel, even in all other specs oleds were superior, only not as work screen.

These OLED fanatics in the comment section who disregard the negative comments are probably people who have relatively new OLED TVs. I've had my LG C7 OLED 4 years now and have a burn-in in the middle of the screen. We use our TV like a normal family with kids. 5-8 hours per day.

I purchased about 4 years ago a LG high end OLED tv. Depending on the color of the scene, we can see the "settings" circles burned into the screen, yet we almost never go to the settings at all. Even 4 years ago I paid about $3,000 for this tv, so obviously we have been very unhappy with this OLED LG tv. Almost ready to go to a high end QLED tv.

Don't forget these TVs weren't shut down for months, a simple shutdown per day would have prevented these burnins. It would be great to do a test and turning off one if the TV overnight every night

My TOP of the range €4200! PHILIPS 65" TV burned in, in 3 years! Watching max 2 hours a day, and only movies. No warranties, be course PHILIPS policy "our TV's have anti burn-in software, so no warranties" After 30 years Philips, no Philips for me...NEVER again!

If I play a lot of video games but I play Apex Legends more than any of them, at least 2 hours a day is that likely to cause burn in on the QD S95B? Apex doesn't have a super bright hud but they are fairly static for the health bars, characters and the map when you're in a game.
