HOW TO FIX THE REINSTALL METHOD! Custom Minecraft Mods on Xbox Working April 2024!

I did the microsoft thing and it still won't let me install it still. What do I do?

So I’m stuck on the part where Minecraft updates cause it updates but it doesn’t combine and I don’t have the mods and skins I want on the one that works, cause the other whenever I press it says update but whenever I update it it finishes instantly and the process repeats

still not working, did everything right and can’t install the spongebob version still. any fixes?

when i try to reinstall the spongebob version it will be stuck on “finishing things up” and will never finish installing or updating

no matter what I do, trying to reinstall the special version of Minecraft it says not currently available. It worked the first time but now It won’t work

doesn’t give me the option to download the special one when I did it

can I have a tutorial how to get my Microsoft store back because it’s not installing anymore because I clicked cancel instead of pause

Special Minecraft was succesfully downloaded but it wont update and merge together with the normal minecraft like yours 😢

Nither one works anymore because the spongebob version is no longer available in the Store

My store update was paused and it still wouldn’t let me get the version of minecraft

Nothing worked for me, i should have never tried any of these. Im locked out my console. I should have just gave up a long time ago

all this did was uninstall minecrfat somehow, and all my special settings were reset. either xbox is the one who sucks, or its this method. (no offense)

you can get old Minecraft if you have the other one installed so if you delete the old one and quickly get the old one

I have a similar problem but it let me install that Minecraft but when I update it nothing happens and I can update again but nun happens

Does this still work in 2025? Also is it the same on xbox series s or is there a different way? Can you make a 2025 one if it still works?

Or you could just not uninstall it install the old version and then delete the new version and reinstall the new version they will combine and then it will work (pls like this post to make it top comment so it helps more people)

They patched it you can't download that specific version of minecraft now 😭

My issue is they won’t merge together into one game

I found another solution that works for me. You simply need to delete Minecraft, restart the console, and then reinstall Minecraft.Then search for the older Minecraft version in the Microsoft Store and it should work.


But I'm not sure if it works for others

For me I had to get the special version of Minecraft and then delete my normal Minecraft and then update the special Minecraft

it works when you delete regular Minecraft and reinstall regular Minecraft and then install the special Minecraft and then delete the regular Minecraft and update the special Minecraft

I reset it and it said update and I didn’t do that but it still says not currently available
