ОтветитьYum 😋 made this a few times now and its one of my favourites, thank you for the recipe
ОтветитьIt’s dosnt work followed every to a t just turns in to a watery scrambled egg
ОтветитьWho normally has corn flour lying about? Glad to see that wheat flour can be used.
ОтветитьStep 1 in your written recipe instructions does not match your video. In the video, you add milk later directly into the pan with vanilla extract, but in your written instructions, you say to whisk the milk together with the eggs, etc.. Then you re-mention milk in step 2. I figured you wish to fix the written instructions.
ОтветитьWhy conflour??? Thats proper amateur cooking in my opnion. Just use more egg yolk.
ОтветитьCan u use plain flour
ОтветитьJust made this. It's perfect and nice, clear, no-nonsense video. Thanks!

ОтветитьCornflour, or cornstarch in the US, is used as a stabilizer, or you could say it's insurance for cooks not familiar with this process. If used correctly, it will not cause the custard to be grainy.

ОтветитьCornflour? Bye!
ОтветитьWhen are you gone finish it? An egg custard is a pied. You still need the pie shell and it needs baking.
ОтветитьIs this also good for making custard tarts ? (Portuguese egg tarts)
ОтветитьIngredients
2 whole eggs yolks
2 tsp cornflour
1 cups milk
2 tbs sugar to taste
1 tsp vanilla essence
Instructions
1. Whisk eggs, cornflour and milk together until smooth.
2. Add milk to the stovetop and then add your mixture along with vanilla.
3. Continue whisking on the stovetop until the custard becomes thick and creamy.
Can you use something else instead of cornflour?
