In Space Exploration, there's a recipe to make 1 rocket fuel from 1 copper plate and 1k water. If you bring a rocket to the deep space mining area carrying ingots from your main base, you'll be making a couple million fuel per shipment rather than 25,000 (not sure what modules you're using so it might be more). Only problem is getting the water, but there should be some water ice on the asteroids. Hope that helps!

I m not sure that your version already has this feature but spaceship clamp may be disabled by red signal
That means that you don't have to use dedicated spaceship for every naq patch because they may find a way by circuits

Nice ship there, Zizteau. If you ever play with that design again, look into using water ice for storage and a heater to melt it on demand. You may find it uses less space and stores a LOT more water (using a steel chest or larger).

I'm very confused.. the megabase on Nauvis must have been running hundreds of hours by now. How is there still a 94M iron ore patch so close to the megabase? Also with all the stuff he's been building, how are there no outposts for basic resources like iron copper and so on? Is there some infinite ore patch mod going on or something?

Do you not have access to high temperature turbine generator yet? Then you could just use 5000C steam as energy storage for your space ships and just automate them instead of using rockets.

Thankfully Factorio deals with stack sizes rather than actual weight, or Mister Tsiolkovsky would be laughing at the entire idea of sending a rocket full of rocket fuel an interstellar distance to fuel a rocket full of that rocket fuel to fly back that distance.

Love the series!

Like you, I was annoyed by the stack size. I ended up crushing it at the field before shipping it, which compresses the ore by 4:1. You do lose a step of productivity, but I thought it was worth it. Something to think about.

Keep it up, I'm excited for the endgame!

I'll always remember one family vacation, we stayed in some cheap motel with that arcade game in the lobby. My sis and I split my $10 snack fund on that machine and dad was so peeved about it. (yes we were terrible at it but that's not the point).

Assuming that it was already there in 0.5, you should have discovered an anomaly along with the asteroid fields (It's not on your star map, but you should be able to filter for it in the Universe explorer). I won't spoil anything about it's significance, but one trait that is easily overlooked is that it is the same distance away from any point in space, and that distance isn't thaaat large. It's a bit of a trip, but there's a good chance that flying from Nauvis to the anomaly, and then from there to the asteroid field is actually faster than flying straight from Nauvis to the Asteroid Field. It depends on exactly how close your nearest Naquitite-rich field is. It makes wiring up the spaceship a little more complicated tough.

Naquitite processing got a lot more complex in 0.6 apparently. Just a bit of info on what you're missing out on, in the newer version you need ALL the advanced resources in one form or another, you get a byproduct of their respective production chains aswell, and on one step there are actually 2 parallel processes going on both making the same 2 outputs, but in different quantities, both also outputting a byproduct that is used by the other as an ingredient, and you need to balance those steps to prevent it from locking up. The most annoying part is still actually mining up enough Naquitite and ferrying it to Nauvis tough. Those ore patches are very small considering the 1000% mining time.

Using the "free" rocket fuel recipe isn't something I'd recommend. The sheer size of the build to supply that amount of rocket fuel would be enormous, and so would be it's power requirement. It'd genuinly be easier and faster to conquer an oil planet and set it up to produce nothing but rocket fuel. I did that in my run and made 4 blue belts worth of rocket fuel a second. And then it all goes obsolete once antimatter is researched.

Dude, thanks for making me feel old... !
The sound you used is so strongly resonating with me it's almost creepy. Immediately I want to hear, "Arise, from your grave!" And sit in a beanbag almost touching the TV.
Thanks for that!
However
Well, my point... You link and reference an arcade game, but I belive the distorted audio clip you use in the video is from the sega genesis version of the game, witch is much less "clean".

Well, a deep hole with water in it. It doesn't matter, I just wanted to type a few words. Thanks for the great content you put out!
