Thank you for this test! I am a media informatic student who wants to purchase my first macbook especially. Since im only a student and have a fixed amount of budget i couldnt decide whether to buy the 8gb ram/512ssd or wait until i have the money for the 16gb model. I dont do gaming nor heavy/demanding task with my botebook in general, but i was not really sire wheather the 8gb ram can handle Web Development and video editing (not graphic demanding).

What should i buy as a printer everyone in my office uses windows desktop's but we don't have any space to put new desktop and I want macbook for my personal as well as office use which mac should I get usage is
corel and ai and plug-ins nothing extra

@AZisk what if my web dev workflow consists of having docker running all day? macbook air m3 is what I'm considering buying - docker, vscode, chrome - safari - slack.. all day..

Really nice and well made video from a dev perspective. Little note: they Air is not enough for professional game dev (specifically Unreal Engine) , but for hobbyists game dev who use Godot, Unity to make small games this machine is more than fine

For what it is worth: 15" M2 MBA 8gb RAM 256 ssd bogs down with Excel (especially when more than one instance of it is open). Mentioning only because 'unexpected'.

Hi mate, I was thinking to get a Macbook air, cause right now I'm just a noob learning python. I am currently using a Asus i7 6th + 960m graphics, for coding I think it does the job without issuesm but its battery won't last more than about 10 min. So, these macs do have a better battery which has always impressed me. But the RAM priced as unicon'rs blood is what just pushes me away from it. I'm just kinda 50/50 wether I should get one or not. What do you think? Are macs worth after all?

As others have said, it’s not the 8GB option that’s the problem. It’s the insane price jump to upgrade which sucks. Artificially capping the external monitor support? Apple is anti consumer.

Skip the macbook air and get a used/refurbished 16 inch M1/M2 pro Macbook pro with 32GB of RAM. Your eyes, your ears and your wallet will be happier in the long run.

Mac book m3 with 8gb is just fine. Works great. 8gb is much faster than your standard 16gb on a windows rig.

Swap memory using so much it'll destroy those poor ssd and Mac motherboards are poorly build if ssd burn than say tata bye bye too your be loving mac. Use external ssd always.

I might've missed it but was that the 13" M3 Air? Also...13" or 15"? I could've swore you had a video comparing the 15 and 13 and concluded you get more viewable code lines with the 15.

I recently picked up an M3 24GB/1TB in midnight, its the worse device i've ever owned.
We all know 8GB of RAM is not enough, so you have to dip into the upgrades and there's the problem. At the end of the day to get a decent spec you end up in 14" MBP money and that's a significantly better device in everyway a device can be.

Avoid the MBA, its just not worth it.
