Remember - Russia offered and support peace as offered by Minsk. It was Ukraine, at the urging of it's Western puppet masters, who said that they wanted to settle all issues on the battlefield. Now Putin has won. Not because he wanted to - but because he was forced to. The result of that - is that whatever peace agreement is now reached - it will be way worse than Minsk.

Moscow wants a return to Warsaw Pact era geo politics. According to them - every country that joined NATO post 1997 needs to be expelled and become neutral status. This goes much further than Ukraine. To this day, too many people don't realise or don't want to realise the cul de sac we are in.

MINSK was a binding agreement recognized even by the UNSC and still violated by the west.

Lavrov should take the truce path to nowhere as right now the Russian Federation is on the path to disintegration and irrelevance. How long will China wait before gobbling up huge chunks of Siberia from a weakened Russia to make it part of China? And when that happens, will anyone outside of the Russian Federation care? Minsk was a cease fire agreememt that allowed the west to arm Ukraine

Peace in Ukraine means that Russia leave and Putin is sent to the International Criminal Court.

Consider what Russia is doing, also considering how Ukraine has targeted Russian oil and civilian infrastructure, then compare it to what NATO sponsored Israel is doing.... You see a clear double standard in the West, and that is why no body simply care about the West narrative anymore

No more truce and Minsk agreements. No freezing the conflict, as Merkel admitted Minsk 2 was measure to buy Ukraine time to arm. Either Ukraine agrees to accept present borders, AND neutrality, or the war continues till Russia achieves demilitarisation of Ukraine and de-Nazification.

What Russia says is that Ukraine's neutrality has to agreed with a treaty. You cannot have Budapest agreement where Russia agreed to respect Ukraine's security, but the US, UK and Ukraine ganged up to threaten Russia's security. If Ukraine's neutrality is not agreed, and Ukraine and NATO play at trying to get Ukraine into NATO, the war will go on till Ukraine is no more.

Maybe Trump could guarantee Russia security from those horrible Ukrainian drones if Putin withdraws completely from Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, and Georgia, and ask Zelenskyy to please give Russian territory back. Pretty, pretty please.

So Russia refused a truce where Ukraine Territory cannot be attacked by Russia, but Ukraine can attack occupied Territory, and pretty much all sanctions remain. Yeah I can see why Russia would not accept this.
