Anyway, on the subject of the Death Note it's power is not to cause heart attacks, it's power is to kill- it just defaults to causing a heart attack if no other method is specified. "Anyone whose name is written in this book shall die " Not, "shall suffer a heart attack or other injury" but shall die . If Cell's name is written in the death note, he dies. There is no "I can regenerate faster than it can cause damage" or "I have multiple organs so I'm immune". A catastrophic heart failure is simply the quickest, most natural path from life to death for a human being. If it was necessary to kill Cell, the Death Note would simply stop every biological process in his body simultaneously, activate his self-destruct sequence, or just straight up sever his soul from his physical form.

The real arguments would be things like "Cell technically isn't his real name, that would be whatever designation Gero gave him so Light can't kill him without the Shingami's eyes" or "The Death Note only works on humans specifically, not all mortals" (though that last one is debatable), or something to that effect.

After watching Death Note and being able to appreciate the direction of the series, I can say for certainty that the Death Note should have resulted in Cell's absolute death at its usage. I get it was done for the joke of the Cell Vs series, but this does significantly downplay the power of the Death Note. By default, if a human's name is written in it and there is no cause of death written for the name, they will die of heart attack b/c a heart attack will most definitely result in the absolute death of a human without any kind of medical assistance.

Cell by nature is not human, the death note should not default to a heart attack to kill Cell. That being said, it can be argued that b/c Cell is not human, the Death Note would not affect him, but this is wrong. Cell does in fact belong to the "Human World" as far as the Death Note is concerned, he is eligible to be killed by the Death Note even if he is not human.
