Joey, you need a fish like the coppernose barb for this tank- they are an open water Congo River fish and they’d be darting back and forth in that 16 feet of tank all the time.

You can't add acaras to tetras, they're aggressive

Have someone or hire someone paint on the walls like ocean theme like you’re underwater like you’re swimming through the ocean and there’s coral and caves and light coming through certain sections I think that would be super cool and then little lights popping out here there

I wonder if you put three or four sucker fish in there the bristle nose pleco or zebra pleco or the Saigon Potamus or whatever you call them I know they get big they get really really big but I think they’re super cool looking

Electric Blue Acara aren’t dwarf Cichlids. They can get 5-6 inches and super thick. I have a breading pair and they lay eggs like once a week it seems which has led to a side gig for me lol. I have one of the babies in my 150 gallon planter tank and it is huge. Bigger than the parents now. They are very peaceful for the most part until they become breeding pairs and during spawn they can get mean.

I f the ray has parasites, wouldn't it be better to treat before transfer.

I’ve used pond Lillie’s on an open top tank before which create great shade for fish that like low light and a vallis like structure for fish that like living amongst grasses plus they’re beautiful to look at once they flower.

You could do so much more with the 16ft. It looks awful with the blue background and plants covered in algae. It's screaming out for loads of big driftwood, sorry Man

The plants look good on the outside of the tanks, you could attach some drift wood on the empty parts of the wall and then hang greenery on them
