A 1983 Tama 10 piece concert Tom’s. 4’-18 (18’ has the original chrome bottom reso still somehow) and two 24”war drums. Did not come with the snare. It did not have to. I was incredibly blessed in a very magical way when I received this at 14. It humbled and disciplined me to my core. I had to play this drum set right. I had been playing for a year and a half and playing weekly gigs with my father. (yes, I only would bring 3) and he played upright bass with a full cap packed into a Toyota truck with that 24” and PA. Tetris masters. I think I took all of them out to a show only once. But I’m 33 now and couldn’t imagine what my life would be like had I not gotten them. Seeing this makes me vary proud that I still have them and I let them sing every chance I get. From Texas I Thank You TAMA Team for believing in what you do and loving it. True power love thank you drumeo for this.

..TAMA's quality&design speaks for itself..

..keep it up! The only brand that I trust..

I liked Tama, but since I bought John Tempesta signature snare and it turned out, that two IN A ROW had scratches on shell edges, I am not sure if the quality of Tama is really such a big thing... Dissapointment fights with hope. I am still waiting for a third one to be send to me. Please, let it be flawless.

WOW....I just watched your Sonor factory tour, now this.... Just the difference in the way they put the shells together is night and day, in efficiency and quality.... Must be so awesome to be there in person and experience the process...

15 minutes into watching and I’ve given up any hope of seeing anything of any substance. It’s obvious that the people at Tama didn’t want this video to be anything other than an advertisement. It certainly wasn’t gonna be how we make our drums.

Awe I love this video. One of my many kits when I was in my teens was a TAMA Swingstar. I loved that set - cheery red five-piece...Oh memories. I have to get to Japan before...well you know...the appointment we ALL have one day.🧚‍♀

I own a Tama superstar drum set, and i recently purchased the only Tama 8" tom that was matching my set.
But it's original wrapping was stripped, and the drum was painted blue, and my drum is with original black wrap.
I searched everywhere and couldn't find a matching color.
Wrote an email to Tama europe, no success, wrote an email to Drumeo, in hopes they could help me out, with a contact email address from Tama drums, no success.
Can anyone from the community help me out ?

Bought a Tama star bubinga snare straight from Tama factory Japan. Very disappointed with the product. The inlay where the air hole had a crack inside lacquer finish.
I have no idea how it passed inspection

I tried to contact Tama but they don’t receive email or any feed back from customer…

I just unboxed my brand new Starclassic Performer today and I'm so glad i came across this video when I did.

I have such an appreciation for this company, their culture, and the magnitude of commitment they have to the craft.

Truly the strongest name in drums.

Thank you Tama.

Thank you for making this video, when I was a young I was in a rock band in the early 80s and Neil Peart had a Tama so I had to have one in blue. I loved that drum set, it was my life. My wife got me a used Pearl drum kit and it’s all came back to me quickly, so now I’m going to move back into a Tama again. This video really helped me to move forward. Thanks again!
