I first watched this 3 years ago, and I'm cringing remembering how bad i was. customary things like "make sure your clarinet is up" and "make sure to put mouthpiece into small end of barrel" were tasks in themselves back then. Now I'm having fun playing eight notes in cut time.

another way to kill a reed is to rub it against your clothing :(

I’ve cracked so many reeds while putting the ligature on its insane, also I play alto sax switching to clarinet so that’s why I’m here.

Why am I watching this I've been playing clarinet for 5 years. Edit: ew don't use rico reeds use vandoren. Much better quality. Edit again: chipped reeds can still work. I got first chair with a chipped reed and some of them can be perfectly in tune. I'm not saying you should use chipped reeds. Just avoid them if you can.

I used to play Clarinet. I also used to play Alto Sax. I now play Baritone Sax. I gent get over how big Baritone reeds are compared to all of these. 😂
