How does it work, Germany plan to wind off Russian Oil and Gas going forward. So by taking ownership of those asset under a trust, what will happen to those assets when the Gas and Oil stop flowing from Russia? Those asset would be useless. No ? Germany seized control of Gazprom’s German affiliate and then had the gall to try and use that affiliate to buy Russian gas. Russia refused the payment even though Germany agreed to pay in rubles.

I find it bit ironic that Germany accuse Russia of "terrible war crimes" considering their own history.
