How would I track a word count in notes?

Love how easy you make learning to use programs. Thank you. Even though I already use various apps, you show little obscure or easier to use tips.

This is a feature I’d like to find. I would like to save a note that I can’t delete a line, word or phrase by mistake. I would like to lock “ write protect” and unlock feature to add or delete. Does Apple notes have this feature? Should I try to export as a pdf?

I love Apple Notes and would love to migrate my Evernote notes into Notes. My issue is that Notes seems to be a storage hog. With fewer than 1000 notes almost 8 GB of storage has been taken up on my phone. Any tips?

For a grocery list, the reminders app has a template that automatically sorts items by grocery store section. Much better than notes for the grocery store.

Thank you! I started my day trying to figure out Todoist. After an hour, I decided to just keep using Notes. For the first time, I sought a tutorial on Notes and this one came up. Question: How to sync the items in my Notes on old iPad (12.5.7) to newer iPad (17.5.1)? I’ve been unsuccessful so far. Both devices have Notes turned on in Settings under iCloud; same wi-fi channel; both Bluetooth turned on.

Any chance you can do Android versions?

I really like using Notes, but have found that I must limit them due to the storage on my iPhone 12 (64GB). Evernote stores my notes in the cloud, Notes stores on my phone. This quickly gets eaten up with multiple notes. Have you found a work around for that problem?

I found something really cool. I scanned the USPS tracing code on my printed receipt, and Notes instantly created a link for the USPS tracking, which in turn provided the delivery information. I wasn't expecting that at all. I though I would just have the code so I could copy and paste it .

Hi … how to do a word count on the notes app on an i phone

Hi Ellen. Do you know if there’s a limit to how much data that can be stored in Apple notes? I have 200 GB of iCloud storage, and of that, have over 100 GB of available free iCloud storage. So there’s no issue there. Just wondering if there’s a limit to how much data/information that I can store within the app before it starts running slow or lagging or causing issues.

what task(s) can the iphone se3 files app do that the notes app cannot. I wish someone would make a simple comparison chart to help me decide which app I should FOCUS my brain on using. Every time I choose an app to do a task, it's like I'm trying to set soup with a fork... Maybe what I'm looking for are some vids that are straight line task organized and not flooding me with all the features of an app... which makes me want to take another stress tablet.

i'm an 83 grandfather and I create a note list. How can I move ONE item up or down IN THAT SAME LIST? I'm using shaky hands and an iphone se3. Winchester KY I don't want to use a checklist because it seems too easy to accidentally delete a list item....

Hi Ellen! I just tried to clean up my “Notes” from your “Top 10 Tips for IOS. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but it will not allow me to make a subfolder. When I drag a subfolder and hover over the folder, the subfolder jumps above the folder. Seems like I read that you cannot do this on IOS. Can you clear this up for me? Thanks in advance.
