Wow I got here under a minute wow looks like a great figure can’t wait to watch!

I personally LOVE the kintsugi, the detail it adds to the figures makes them stand out and enhance a sense of scale/realism!

Yeah this for me is a fail for army builders since no night trooper in the show looked alike. Definitely should have come with alternate swap out armor pieces.

If you’re only getting one to go with the death trooper and Enoch however the three would look awesome together

I do wish there was a subtle light-up feature in the helmet that would allow the eyes to glow a very subtle green, just like they did in the show to simulate when they are infused with the Nightsister magic. Just something I think would have been cool

Maybe the tattered bandages are because he's simply been a zombie for a lot longer then the deathtrooper hence the more fresh bandages on the deathtrooper

If you don't want to mix paints, the best choice is Vallejo mecha color off white (69.003). It almost completely matches the Sideshow clone base color, its surface will be very hard and slightly silky, plus its fluidity is perfect, you don't need to dilute it (be careful, use only a small top layer at a time and then dry it with a hair dryer, because it is very fluid). Most model paints are very fragile if you don't use a top coat. You don't need this paint if you don't want to. You can touch it, drop it, scratch it, but it won't hurt. I tried a lot of paint, mixed it, but it's just a waste of time. This is the best and I think the most accurate sideshow clone color. The disadvantage is that it can ideally only be used with a spray paint. Of course, this is just an idea, it worked for me. Great video, thank you, very helpful.

Hey Justin, thanks for the vid. I doubt it's "dot matrix" printed. That's a printing tech from the seventies and eighties. You know those big old ones with the paper with the holes at the sides and super noisy print heads?! There are halftone or stochastic dots printed by inkjet printers and you see the dots/rosettes in four colour/CMYK or more printing too. I'd be interested to find out more about the tech used in this way (we talked about this previously, maybe for a cloak texture or something?). But yeah. Needs to be higher rez as you say or more stochastic if it's that noticeable.

Could be an adaptation of inkjet and 3d printing where they can actually print out pieces in colour like the Laika movies. Rather than just flat colour tampo printing which is ostensibly silk screening. But using regular plastic pieces not coloured at the same time as the 3d printing part. Anyway that would be pretty funny if it was dot matrix. Although you could argue a CMYK/PMS printing rosette is in sort of a "dot matrix", semantically speaking! I guess you could actually silk screen/tampo print it if you created four or more colour breakdowns for the plates. Maybe it's that. There's some homework for ya!

I don't think the kintsugi makes any sense for troopers. Kylo Ren? Sure. But these guys are just grunts and it doesn't seem tonally right that they'd be into meditation and high art/philosophical augmentation. Anyway just my 2c!

This and the Deathtrooper are probably the only two figures I'm getting from the show. I'm a sucker for different Trooper designs. Im probably cancelling Hera, Sabine, and White Ashoka. Just not interested in them anymore.

I didn't really care for Ahsoka so I didn't watch past the Anakin episode, but I gotta say it was pretty smart of them to make the canon Death Trooper into a zombie since that's what they were in legends
