Peruvian here. The Chinese have been smart. They knocked on our doors and said:
- "hey, I noticed you don't have roads, public hospitals and schools. How about we build you some, eh?"
- We went: "In exchange for what?"
- "Nothing yet. You'll owe us one. How about that?"
And so the Chinese built trust. How do Americans conduct business? By means of blunt or discrete threats. The Chinese were smarter and now you're seeing the consequences of that. The world is starting to realise we don't need the US, if we have each other's back.

Peru no es su "backyard", hace tiempo que su pais jamas se preocupo en invertir con nuestro pais, y ahora resultan que estan prepcupados. Les recomiendo que dejen de invertir en bases militares y piensen mas en como fortalecer sus relaciones comerciales

Ports should not be a subject for "concern" since it is important for trade and employment and this is a China-Cuba trade relations and initiative, nobody cares if you are concerned.
