I wonder if you can tell me how you deal with a footer on an existing structure that is sinking?
ОтветитьU do a great job…. When I was building decks for a guy, he never went that far
ОтветитьSo, does anyone ever encounter having to get permits? I usually come across the "how to build" but not the before process.
ОтветитьNice! Do folks sit joists on top of the beams much anymore?
ОтветитьMay I have purchase your plans to this?
ОтветитьMan this is beautiful!!
ОтветитьI don’t know if I love or hate yer square-on-hole.
It looks like it would pass inspection easier if you miss dug but it also defeats the purpose of loading the post correctly over the footer if you miss measured.
Does this pass code where you are?
Concrete needs to be straight up and down on the sides if in a area that freezes, the square top will bust if ground freezes. If it doesnt bust the hole concrete footer will frost heave.
ОтветитьToe stubber!!! Buy a $5 string line next time.
ОтветитьHow NOT to build a footer! That extra square on top will catch the freeze/thaw and heave the whole footer out of the ground. Just keep it in a sonotube and do it right!
ОтветитьLooks like you suck at measuring the footings lol must be why you make the giant square hoping the post will land on it somewhere
Ответитьrebar?
ОтветитьNo sonotube or wee bit of rebar?
ОтветитьOuch. Diy videos are bad for humanity
ОтветитьI wonder if this would work for fencing
ОтветитьHow to NOT make / prepare footings
ОтветитьI like to just start with a bunch of cribbing (scraps of 4x4, 2x4, 2x6, etc.) laid on the ground and keep building it up till it's at the height I want it.
ОтветитьI don’t have decks where I live why all the duct tape?
ОтветитьDon't do this. Frost heave will lift up the footing.
ОтветитьThat concrete definitely looks like it's more than a 4" slump. Are you running super plasticizers?
ОтветитьHope this area never gets frost
ОтветитьLmao if its up north, then the frost will push it up. Amateur
ОтветитьMessed up the most critical first step. Sono tube and get rid of the square top ro the footing.
ОтветитьDid you paint or wrap the cut end of the 6x6
ОтветитьDirty south vibes. This would fail in one freezing winter.
ОтветитьThe square hole :)
ОтветитьHow come posts aren’t centered on the footers?
ОтветитьI know a newbie when I see one
ОтветитьWhat a horrible song
ОтветитьIs there a reason you want to put the footers off-center in/of the concrete?
Ответить🎉
ОтветитьWe are a manufacturer for deck joist tape.
ОтветитьBravo 👏 when are you required to add additional post, how many will you need for a 16x16 deck?
ОтветитьBeautiful work 👏
ОтветитьIs there a frost line
ОтветитьIs that 2x6 or 2x8?
ОтветитьReal question: Are you or are you not suppose to attach that back rim joist to the home or structure? I've seen it done both ways, but I thought it was best not to?
ОтветитьHow not to build beams. Not supposed to notch them - it's against code now.
ОтветитьStep 1: build a deck
ОтветитьI'd rather just level out the land and then add deck blocks for the foundation.
ОтветитьIs the membrane used on untreated wood or doesn’t matter?
ОтветитьWhat is the black stuff on top of
Ответитьlmao those footings. shit gonna crack in a year or so😂😂😂
ОтветитьHey you only double the long side right with 2 , 2x8’s and the shout side just one right?
ОтветитьMuy grande la base de cemento, muy exagerado.....con la área de la base por 3 es más que suficiente y no la base por 12aprox.
ОтветитьGOOD 👍 I like Jump
ОтветитьStill nailing joist hangers? Old school. Use screws.
ОтветитьFK me 😂
ОтветитьYo wtf are those forms? 😂 Thats only good for foot paths and the way you made them, wouldn't even pass for a foot path 😂😂 id bet theis house had problems before the shingles went up 😂
