Awesome, my wife's dad has one of these Aladdin heaters.
ОтветитьIS THERE A WICK INSIDE THE UNIT??
ОтветитьI bought this same model 20 or more years ago. I only use it in power outages, maybe every other year. It’s a champ. I don’t use fresh kerosene. It’s a couple of years old, burns great. Changed the wick one time after getting some bad kero. Not fun but doable.
ОтветитьThe one I got from sears looks suspiciously similar but with different branding.
ОтветитьWhere did you buy it from, he said it so fast.
Ответить👍👍👍
ОтветитьThat's awfully expensive for kerosene. Just by at the pump for $3 more or less per gallon. I usually go by 9 gallons for about 35 bucks. That's an absolutely beautiful heater though I would love to have some older model like that. Hard to find those nowadays in my area northern New York.
ОтветитьDon't use diesel fuel. Not designed for diesel. I tried it. Big mistake. Can't stay lit. Poor flame. Summer diesel I used. Flushed it out with kerosene and it would only stay lit with the cover off. Smoke, yes but I'm burning my poor judgment away outdoors in the summer. Right now actually 35 C today. With that crap concoction it's staying lit, glass globe off, with a nice breeze. Can I just poor all that crap down the drain? Yes but I can't bring myself to doing that so I'll burn it all off and lesson learned. They are great heaters if used properly I have to add. Just don't use alternate fuels.
ОтветитьThose heaters will run on diesel fuel
ОтветитьThis is an awesome heater. .I found this exact one in a garage sale for 20$. Swapped out the wick and I puts out a good bit of heat
ОтветитьI just got one at the pawn shop. Changed the wick put karosene in the tank and it’s not fukn filling the main tank from the removable one. Don’t know if the nipple is bad or what but I’m devastated
ОтветитьI’ve got the exact same model in my shop right now. I love the flickering flame. Only thing is that kerosene is oh my gosh expensive in my area. I guess it’s oh my gosh expensive everywhere.
ОтветитьI have the identical one in the video! I use it to heat my camper van in the winter and have to say it works great.
Ответить....can you show how to light it with a match...when the ignition on won't work ? thank you
ОтветитьHoney, your voice is dripping with honey❤
ОтветитьCan you do a video on changing the wick
ОтветитьI have the same heater! It heats very well❤
ОтветитьGreat video and wonderful heater
ОтветитьParents had one of these when I was a kid. It was my job to fill that tank with kerosene! I don’t remember any smell from it at all, but man don’t keep the doors closed and spend a long time in the same room as it. The carbon monoxide levels used to make us so sleepy- lucky we didn’t die in retrospect. Fine for a whole house or to heat a level- just don’t box yourself up into the same room
ОтветитьAwesome channel. I am looking for more of your videos. I am looking at your camper project
Ответить2 minutes of bs to get to 1 minute of bs for anyone without commonsense haha
ОтветитьI've got one labelled Keymar. Nearly identical, but with a glass cylinder around the element.
ОтветитьThe tank is removable because it is meant to be filled outside.
ОтветитьTry the gas stations for Kerosene .
ОтветитьI have the temp right 7. Do the wicks pull out or just replace
ОтветитьI have one an I love my old school stuff period
ОтветитьI'm in Texas where can I buy the steel can to fill it?
ОтветитьBest brand got mine used $20 used 3yr just put new wick kero has at least 2x more heat per gallon than propane. Never use diesel jp1=k1. S681U Equator II used a 3X wick per manual turn knob fully left pull out to release wick same mechanism per manual
ОтветитьI get about 2 days of heat from one tank like that, about 13-15 hours of constant heat
ОтветитьI had one of those growing up. Highly recommend
ОтветитьAnd where the h#@! Do the batteries go for the ignition? Appreciate any help. I subscribed. What you put out there is nteresting to me. Thanks
ОтветитьNever leave your kerosene in an unheated storage..it will form condensation and ruin your wick
ОтветитьAnybody else smell christmas
Ответитьmodern ideas make ya think their dangerous, but honestly kerosene heaters are nothing but big oil lamps. Ive sat my carbon monoxide detector ontop of the heater during a dry burn. you guessed it no beeps. They are really good heaters.
ОтветитьThanks body 😊
