You can't have the biggest actor in the film Kevin Costner being a fly on the wall
Ответитьhemos avanzado casi 50 años desde eso y aún hay amenazas nucleares. Puta madre.
ОтветитьLOVE this movie. Thanks for making a video about it!
ОтветитьThe information shown here about the historical concerns of the Soviet Union to having "wolfs at the border" explaining the desire of a buffer zone of countries/states from Russia is completely forgotten to history evidently. Everybody disregards Russia's concerns about an expanding NATO and it's impact to Russia's decisions to invade Ukraine (there are many other issues involved including the ports in Crimea, resources and food production). The world nearly ended in nuclear war because the US put some outdated nuclear missiles in Turkey but everybody says Putin lost his mind and suddenly invaded Ukraine just because he wants to take over the world. Isn't there anybody in the diplomatic world who knows history and wants to avert WW3?
ОтветитьAside from promising to take the IRBMs out of Turkey, the US had to return Soviet scientist Nikolai Stepanovic Sokolov, who had defected 2 years earlier...
IYKYK...
God bless everyone and have a wonderful day ❤🙏
ОтветитьI loved 13 days and thank you for clarifying what was real and what wasn’t.
ОтветитьAs a {now former) HS US History teacher I always played "Thirteen Days" during our study of the Cold War. I researched a good deal of the movie's events to see how realistic it actually was. Thanks for the extra details about Kenny and other places where 'artistic license' trumped reality. Overall the movie is a really good tool to aid in the understanding of the actual events. Thanks for your video.
ОтветитьThey didn’t even show Magneto in this movie, crazy inaccurate
Ответитьas soon as i saw the dude from spiderman i said "rent" lol
ОтветитьBerlin Airlift is the perfect example of why communism will never work. Imagine being separated and the side thats supposed to be oppressed is eating better than you LMAOOO
ОтветитьWhere the hell was US VP LBJ the whole movie?
Ответить"I said only for a second:"
ОтветитьFYI this only now popped up in my feed now that Trump has talked about nuclear weapons while ringing the New York stock exchange.
ОтветитьIt was called a "quarantine" of cuba because a blockade was an act of war. We call it a blockade now, but I'm pedantic like that.
ОтветитьThe US always does a false flag psy op before it goes to war.
ОтветитьImagine Biden or Trump in the Cuban Missile Crisis...
Ответить"13 Days" is one of the most under-rated movies about the Cuban missile crisis ever.
ОтветитьThe RF-8 scene is the best part of the movie. Reconnaissance pilots were a different breed and underrated heroes of the USAF/Navy.
Usually, the top pilots would get put in recon, because youre going in unarmed and often alone.
It’s crazy that there is only fifty years between trench warfare, biplanes, airships, and the threat of nuclear annihilation.
ОтветитьWe need an epic movie just on the french indian war so you can history buff it.
ОтветитьYou really ought to do Stone's JFK. If ever there were a movie that deserves to be picked apart, it's that one.
ОтветитьIt's amazing to me how so many make General LeMay out to be a bad person.... when in fact he is a major reason the Soviet's never tested our resolve... Like it or not he realized the threat of Communism and Collectivism aka Socialism and National Socialism (NAZIs) included..... Just like General Patton understood the same threat and was most likely killed by traitors within the USA and Allies.
ОтветитьI lived through those 13 days when I was in high school. We were terrified, and I wouldn't want to relive it again in a film.
ОтветитьAny way you could do the madman and the professor. I know you don’t like Mel Gibson but I would love to know the real history.
Also Donny Brasco
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEE DO 13 HOURS
ОтветитьKid from Troll 2: ORTSAC! It's Castro spelled backwards!
ОтветитьI haven't seen this yet but my dad did make me watch the missiles of October when I was a kid sometime in the play 80s I'd be curious to see how this movie compares to that play which was filmed for movie viewing
Ответитьnuclear pissing contest
ОтветитьOK. So how can anybody in their sain mind say, that the Soviet policy and their taking control of central - eastern Europe had anything to do with defence of core Russian territory? Like how? In every statement you could hear: "The Revolution must go forth!" It was all about reaching the Atlantic in the end. You just can not say such things. It simply isn't truth.
ОтветитьReally unbelievable fact Plunkett has 2 super bowl rings was a super bowl MVP and never made a pro bowl.
ОтветитьBruce Greenwood is such a good JFK in this.
ОтветитьWhen the President is reigning in the military, and in 2025 it is the other way around (?)
ОтветитьOne word: Excellent
ОтветитьActually, it was both the RAF and the USAF
ОтветитьOne of my favorite movies!
ОтветитьWhy didn't you cover the rogue CIA operative that teamed up with a professor for a private school from Upstate New York and some of his students that defended a beach?
Ответитьlove love love your channel
ОтветитьIt always annoys me how almost every piece of media even historical about the crisis makes no mention of Britain and its CRUCIAL role in the politics, intelligence gathering and war planning. American media has a real problem with removing other countries from everything to either simplify it or make themselves looks better
ОтветитьI'm not sure if it's a transcript issue or something but no fighter jets during Cuba were armed with "nuclear warheads". Modernized fighters like the f16 can carry nuclear bombs but there were no nuclear tipped missiles on fighter jets.
ОтветитьSo youre telling me that JFK, LBJ, Nixon, and Casteo fighting off zombies in the white house, didnt happen?
ОтветитьWould love to see a history buffs episode on the Lee Harvey Oswald episode of Quantum Leap.
ОтветитьIn real life they always had to wait for jfk to get rid of the woman in his bed before any meeting
ОтветитьSo fucking terrifying how many times we've been 2 minutes from complete human death
Ответить
