Is bassist Robert Martin Todd Rundgren’s twin, or did Todd produce this band, among the many others he did, and was filling in on bass here? What an incredible, all-around musical talent Todd Rundgren was/is.
ОтветитьTHE VERY BEST SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьWho knew some 14 year old kid from suburban New Jersey would find this prog rock band from the 70s and be absolutely obsessed?
ОтветитьNice live version...
ОтветитьAh, panacea for my soul. Back then when voices were still voices and not autotuned bullshit on a stick.
ОтветитьDe aniversario. Que pegajosa canción. Mucho mejor en directo
ОтветитьLa mère spirituelle de heart et les soeurs wilson
ОтветитьI have followed Curved Air since the early days & know the guy now playing violin in the band. Sonja is still lovely & singing with Curved Air on tour & in studios. It was a pleasure to see them play & meet them at Glastonbury Festival a few years ago.
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьNever heard of this band. This is great
ОтветитьVocally she reminds me of Ann Wilson
ОтветитьSpectacular violen solo ending!!
ОтветитьBeautifully captured from their younger early days. Lovely memories. Thank you for sharing & posting. Much appreciated.
ОтветитьIf you ask anyone who was around when they played live, " Who was the vocalist for Curved Air? " they would say the wonderful Sonja Kristina. Darryl Way was a fantastic violinist and b vocalist
ОтветитьEsse solo de violino do Darryl Way é é uma das coisas mais lindas que já ouvi na vida
ОтветитьRIP Francis Monkman
ОтветитьRIP Francis Monkman.
Rip FRANCIS Rip FLORIAN!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThis great and often overlooked and forgotten progressive rock act were sort of like the UK version of Jefferson Airplane in many ways. The lead singer was very skilled and the band extremely talented and skilled songwriters and musicians.
ОтветитьEye was 15th ahead on time 😊
ОтветитьDaryl Way was the violinist if I remember. They were all great musicians and my older cousin got the picture LP ! Fabulous memories !
ОтветитьJefferson Airplane vibes
ОтветитьRIP great keyboard player Francis Monkman.
ОтветитьMy tenth birthday
ОтветитьSonja Kristina-the "Debbie Harry" of her day!
ОтветитьBunch of posh boys.
ОтветитьSonja must have been one of the Greatest female rock singer around the early 70:ies! Clearly! Loved This! 🥰👍
ОтветитьFantastic
ОтветитьSonia's tenor voice is chilling like a vein of ice through this song's lush soundscape.
ОтветитьCurved Air were brilliant!
ОтветитьSonja Christina was fantastic!
ОтветитьMore bands like this, please.
ОтветитьMuito linda a música e a voz da cantora.
ОтветитьRemember seeing the band several times in the early 70s on the London circuit, Goldsmiths College being one venue.
ОтветитьI must admit that I missed these guys until now. But it's never too late, right? Interestingly, I'm hearing stuff here that sounds familiar somehow. Beautiful violin work. Beyond what It's a Beautiful Day were doing at the time, at least to my ear. I like the orchestral, but primal sound of the instruments together. It makes me think about what ELO picked up on later. Thank you for posting.
ОтветитьSaw them live in Nottingham in 71, some amazing stuff, some so so. Ahead of their time.
ОтветитьI've always had the hots for her
ОтветитьUnique sound, part of my youth, saw them play live in London 71✨
ОтветитьIs that Stewart Copeland on drums, or did he join later?
ОтветитьSaw them open for Johny Winter and BB King
ОтветитьThe whole band is awesome
And she rocks!
RIP beautiful Bass player Ean Ayre
ОтветитьI just discovered curved air today. I’m loving it.
ОтветитьThe drummer i imagine got a lot of ladies with his looks
ОтветитьTakes me back to the very early 70's at Leeds Uni. Stones, Who, John Mayall, Colleseum, Clapton, Free and many more all played there. After that it was bigger venues. Great memories
ОтветитьBritish psychedella. Progressive. Greatness.
ОтветитьI remember Curved Air refusing to play Buxton festival September 1972. I don't really blame them, it was lashing down with rain and freezing cold when they were due on stage. Family went on early instead, seem to recall one of their amps got water in it and blew up. Anyway I never actually got to see Curved Air but did see Daryl Way with his own band Wolf after he left Curved Air, being replaced with Eddie Jobson I think.
