I work in reservations for American Airlines (the people who answer the phone and help u with info or booking/ rebooking flights). my shift starts in an hour and im dreading it. the calls will be nonstop.

Happy 4th of July everyone. Regarding flying on planes, these problems may not be corrected for many months to come. I would suggest nobody flys if possible, airlines just do not have the pilots .

I never travel on these big holidays. It is always something with the airlines or on the road.

These cancellations could've been prevented. MSM does not tell you the 'why', which is the U.S. gov't bailed out airlines with ~$60 billion during the pandemic to make sure staff remained on the payroll. But, instead, airlines forced pilots into early retirement and furloughed cabin crew.

everyone has seen this chaos before at airports when it comes to holidays and they still go through with their travel plans and complain. Its been two years of being hunkered down at home from the pandemic, now its an influx or open season on travel and everyone using caution and risk during this covid that is still out there in the public. I think the airports are playing catch up and they shouldn't have to since they got a big pay out during coivd.

Do i feel bad its costing so much for people to fill up to go to work? Yeah. Do i feel bad you wanna fill up on the 4th of july and drive 2 or 300 miles to a relative to have a celebration party / fireworks? Not as much. People you dont have to go anywhere on the 4th of july. Thanks God iam home....I was stuck in NY for 4days...no more flying this year iam done.....

Yesterday july 6 2022 i was coming home to Rhode Island from Punta Cana and the flight was from PUJ to Charlotte NC and our flight to PVD was cancelled so we stayed overnight in Charlotte honestly didnt mind it tho i found it quite fun tbh

Increase the air fare 5 times to see passengers back on track
