Great video
ОтветитьThank you for the motivational information 🖐️🌿
ОтветитьRan a content creation business for a while back in the Pacific Northwest. My family and I moved to Vermont. Not a lot of business out here.
So, I got a job at Walmart! I have a weird schedule since I have to be home during the day for my son. I have sales and management experience but I never behaved like I was too good for the job.
Eight days in the man who hired me asked if I wanted to apply for a team lead (supervisor) position. Salary, $80k, 12 hour shifts. I turned in my CV and cover letter yesterday.
Point is, keep trying stuff til you find your niche. Don’t step trying.
I decided I want to become CEO of Walmart. Will update!
I’m currently assessing the company and determining how to approach my role. I find it challenging to assign tasks to colleagues who are much older than I am. Although I was hired as a technician, I have unexpectedly become a technical manager (AWP) for various reasons. I didn't question this change because I view it as both a challenge and an opportunity for growth. Your tips will be incredibly helpful, especially the "Knowing the Expectations" part. Thank you so much, Sir!
ОтветитьAwesome! thank you for doing this :)
ОтветитьAny advice on managing the teens? I feel like a babysitter when they work....
ОтветитьI’m about 3 months into my management promotion. I’d say the things I have struggled with the most are:
-Finding a balance between being too lax or too strict. The last manager was very lax and it has caused many issues. They are not used to being “managed” and I don’t want to change things too quickly and have people quit.
-Becoming a manager to people who were once my equals and friends. It makes things very awkward and sometimes incredibly difficult to reprimand.
-As I said, the last manager was not good, and the mess I’ve been left has been incredibly stressful.
Great advice for beginners!
ОтветитьYou say your goal is to help first-time managers, but you should clarify you meant first-time, male managers. I hope in the four years since you posted this, you've adjusted your language to be more inclusive. Signed - a woman raised by a mother who was also a Managing Director at a global corporation.
ОтветитьWise words. Thank you for the video. 👍

ОтветитьGreat presentation Bernd, I thought of the same 5 things you outlined. I hope my next job advancement will allow me to utilize the skills and comments you included.
ОтветитьWhy are you using "him" for the boss? It can be a lady too or a queer person. They/ Them would be more inclusive
ОтветитьThis guy talks like Christopher Walken. 😂🤣

ОтветитьI will join up at a more appropriate time.
ОтветитьRemember the natural components to the environment like the human interaction that is a part of your own future there.
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьGood informative video especially the dual talk I liked it :)
ОтветитьWhy would the boss be a ”he”?
ОтветитьWhy does he only mention a man is the boss?

ОтветитьThanks for this
ОтветитьI'm completely absorbed in this. I had the pleasure of reading something similar, and I was completely absorbed. "The Hidden Empire: Inside the Private Worlds of Elite CEOs" by Adam Skylight
ОтветитьLoved your video 💙
Ответить👍
ОтветитьSo precise
ОтветитьThanks, for taking time to consider and then post the video on 5 crucial tips on leadership.
ОтветитьI love this video. Great insight and gets me excited for my upcoming role. Is it possible to get these questions you asked towards a boss in the first section?
ОтветитьLet me share a few tips for management trainees and potential managers as they seek to be promoted: understand the company culture, build relationships with your co-workers and customers, seek feedback from colleagues, show initiative and proactiveness, seek out mentors in your organization.
ОтветитьSuch great advice.
I think being honest and transparent goes a long way with building good relationships.
Your concepts are pioneering. Reminds me of a book that's a trailblazer. "Dominating Your Clock: Strategies for Professional and Personal Success" by Various Authors
ОтветитьJust got promoted from frycook to chef to lead chef. I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm a performer not a leader.
Ответитьdidn't expect to wake up today taking management advice from christopher walken but here we are!
ОтветитьExcellent advice! Each one is helpful in every field. What I hated about my last manager (before quitting and starting my own small business) was she went out of her way to lie and get the old manager fired, took her place, told lies about me even though I had 15 years more experience than her, eventually drove me out the door!!
Not friends to this day, 2 years later. Can not befriend a backstabber!
Sir, I wish I had watched this video 3 years ago. 😢
ОтветитьThis video has given me some very valuable insights. Thank you so much!!
ОтветитьThe employees don't work for you. You work for them. You are the go-between the employees and the CEO.
