Really happy to be on the Xelis journey with you! Many say GPU mining is dead...

But when Xelis hits $300 per coin, I'm gonna be laughing all the way to the bank and expanding the farm.

Yea man the shed ain't worth it. At this point you might as well do a giant grow tent inside ur garage would be much cheaper imo

What are your thoughts of 3060s and 1660 supers for mining currently?

Dope video brother. Love the new tool you got to measure airflow, that’s SO helpful! Also can’t wait for the video showing off your new rig! 36 GPUs! Woot Woot!

if noice is not a problem, just buy the bitmain fans. cost 10 dollars each and have great airflow.

ft/min needs to be multiplied by the cross-sectional area the air is moving through, so 120mmx120mm (.129167 ft²) multiplied by the ft/min to get ft^3/min. This can then be multiplied by the number of 120mm fans for your rigs. Your intake and exhaust would be calculated in the same fashion (average intake velocity x total intake filter area). Situating your rigs closer and in the direction of the exhaust with a cold aisle should help out quite a bit. Happy mining!

Good decision to hold off on the shed. Perhaps get a shelving unit for the rigs and place it closer to your exhaust fan. While there is such a things as "too hot", I sometimes think we miners overthink it. Of course, luck will have one of the Kawpow projects skyrocket and controlling temps will become talk of the town.

Do you still plan to try to go solar ? anytime you produce more energy that your whole house is consuming, it's all free electricity and pure profit :) i know it's harder in the US than in europe (at least in france, 3Kw of solar is easy) but i think it's worth if, even more when you setup NetZero with your power utility :)

here is a pretty simple and hopefully somewhat cheap idea for you, but build yourself a small plywood box, put a blower fan on one end, and a exhaust fan on the opposite end....push your cool air from your garage across your rigs, all stacked on top of each other inside the middle of the box, and have it blow out near your exhaust fan.

If you create basically your own wind tunnel, you will be able to control the temperatures so much easier. What you are dealing with now is a huge open area that isn't ideally focusing temps anywhere, your just hoping that room temp doesn't get to hot and everything melts.

Another benefit of creating your own hotbox/wind tunnel, is that you could also employ a portable air conditioner and plumb it into the box if your temperatures get to high for your push/pull fans to handle...mind you that you want to put several filters in to handle any moisture that this might generate, but I think its a pretty sound theory.

Are you mining Xelis coin? For me to be worth it needs to be worth more than $19.00 since I pay energy.

The people saying don't do a shed.. are probably people that don't have a shed. I personally would never go back to putting my farm back in my house.. just the heat management alone is so much better when everything is in a building designed to exchange vast amounts of air to keep your farm running cool. and not having to battle that heat in your house is a huge benefit in itself.

you can build a wooden rack close to the exaustor that you have, so the hot air gets out faster, so the hot air doesn stay circulating in the room and waming up the whole place

My 3070's run cooler than my 3060ti's, I like the Noctura fans over the cheaper ones as they move more air and quieter than all the cheaper fans I found. When it starts to get hot in there, put a fan on the other side of your rigs blowing toward the exhaust.

1 thing you can do is plant some tall bushes around the walls of the garage especially in front of where the exhaust fan is. Anything that can stop direct sunlight from touching the walls of the garage will help drop temps in your garage simply by stopping the conduction of heat transfer from the sun to the walls. Its like the difference between standing in the sun and then going under the shade of a tree

You should likely move the rigs between the intake and exhaust, it's probably not pulling the majority of heat off the rigs where they are placed today unless you were to channel it around past them. I see some people using grow tents with intake and exhaust to help capture the heat and move it out as well.

I just got my anemometer in today. It was 50% off, so it just $15. Mine has a function button that you can set to CFM. Check your manual. You probably have the same option.

When you were testing the air flow and opened the back door of your Livingroom and the meter started spinning, I realized you have an intake restriction for the exhaust fan in the garage. I would say, enlarge your intakes or make more of them to gain more heat removal.
