These Small Changes Drastically Improved Our 8Y Audi RS3 Handling!

👋 After owning the 8Y Audi RS3 for close to 9 months, I've had some fun upgrading this car. The 2024 Audi RS3 is a really fun to drive sport sedan but has always been a bit odd in the handling. While the RS3 is a great handling car with quick lap times, the steering feel is much different then any other car I've driven. So today I talk about what upgrades and changes I've made to our 2024 Audi RS3 and how they dialed in the handling. The H&R Sport Lowering Springs helped a ton to lower the center of gravity and make the car a bit more ridged. In addition the wheel spacers helped even out the track width of the front and rear tires to make the car have an even lower center of gravity and further make the car feel more stable. Installing sway bar end links gave it a nice bump too. Lastly I recently had a new alignment done and I adjusted the tie rod end links to straighten the steering wheel to be perfect. All of those changes have made the steering feel much more solid and connected rather then a tad floaty. Those changes also keep the car more planted and stuck to the ground rather than have the car feel top heavy. The RS3 has a front wheel drive biased AWD system and that allows some steering input especially when under boost coming out of a corner. The Rear Drive mode in the RS3 honestly made no difference. I can't tell a single difference driving through the corner in that mode vs the normal RS Performance mode. So maybe thats just for if you want to do a donut? Regardless the new 8Y RS3 is a fun sport sedan and these mods made such a drastic change to the handling characteristics!
