Deep Fried SHARK #fishing #shorts

In the UK it’s called rock salmon since dogfish isn’t really an appealing name 😂. It’s traditionally served up in the east end of London and it is made from lesser spotted cat sharks which we just call dogfish here. What’s shown in the video is what we call a spurdog hence the spur on its fin.

American here who's eaten dogfish. Spoiler: It's texture is very akin to chicken more so than fish. Not sure how it passes as a typical fish & chips since the texture is that obvious.....

In all my decades living in the UK and eating battered fish up and down the country regularly, including living in London for 3 of those years, i've to this day never come across a single chippy where this has been served.
