Great video man!!! At the polar bears part I legit cried my eyes out! God's creation is so so so beautiful!!!!
ОтветитьLovely video, looks like it was a great trip and definitely offers a lot of inspiration going into Winter!
ОтветитьWow, what an adventure, so many memories and some spectacular cinematics and photography. Thanks.
ОтветитьI got similiar issue on one of my expeditions, we got failing engine starter due broken battery switch.. and lost whole day from two weeks of sailing, just to trioubleshoot the issue. And leter we almost lost belt due not enaugh tension on alternator. And charter company does not provide us with appropriate tools and spare parts. It turned out that the spare alternator drive belt did not fit our Volvo Penta Engine.
ОтветитьWhere are the ISO, Focal length, Exposure data along with the pics?
ОтветитьMore of this please, although it would be nice without ads 😉. Absolutely cracking film making! Worthy of being shown on BBC at 7pm 👏👏
ОтветитьWhat an incredible trip and video so exciting watching it Tom 👍🏻 can’t wait for the January adventure 😉
ОтветитьThis is so amazing!
ОтветитьRemains a remarkable video with such passion and quality thrown in. Pls don't lose your enthusiasm for long-format Thomas! You have a talent for it! Happy NY 2024!!
ОтветитьWhat is there to say that has not been said, amazing photography, you are meant to be behind a lens to capture the sublime most of us would miss.
I would suggest the removal of the white frame on the images shown, there is no need for a frame, actually distract.
Thank you for sharing Thomas!!!
Amazing video and photo footage Thomas! The feeling I get from watching your videos (especially this one) is a feeling of observing a documentary in a pure movie style. Amazing work! Can you share information about the cruise and how you managed to book your trip? Thank you and keep it up mate!
ОтветитьLove the long format video ❤. Awesome work
Ответитьmy favorite pic is at 39"55, the lonely bear. awesome shot
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьJust blows my mind how beautiful place this is! Thomas you're a lucky man to have the opportunity to see all this and photograph. Nice video I enjoyed it, Thanks!
ОтветитьNot sure if you're going on a trip like this why you didn't rent a longer lens. Seems mad not to. Also those hiking style photo backpacks are heavy, overpriced, and not very good quality.
ОтветитьOdd question but I do wonder how this covers the entire expanses? I wish I could this once
ОтветитьAny thoughts if you taken different gear? Or you are happy with nikon results
ОтветитьStunning. Thank you.
ОтветитьSvalbard - a place that changed us forever.
The experience of being so far North, disconnected from the rest of the world can teach you a lot of things.
The remoteness of this place, the untouched nature, endless glaciers and the abundance of wildlife is what makes this place so special, but it also serves as a reminder of our impact on the planet and the effects our actions from far away can have on this remote place and the wildlife that depends on it. 💙 hope you'll like our project to bring young students in Svalbard 😃
I had the pleasure of photographing the polar night with Piet in Antarctica over the 2021/2022 New Year. Great guy, amazing experience. It is great to see him still enjoying the arctic regions.
Ответитьepic
ОтветитьWow that was a beautiful video and full of adventure, beautiful wildlife and scenery - added to a bucket list of places - thanks Thomas
ОтветитьI came here directly from your "oops, I like the Z8" video :-) Super glad I did, gorgeous work (both the photos/video you shot on the trip, and the beautifully done video covering it all). This video really should have more views than the gear video, but, well, gear (I have a Z8 myself, which is why I was drawn to that video first).
ОтветитьSo enjoyed 😊
ОтветитьThanks for pointing me in this fabulous direction via your newsletter, Tom! I hadn’t seen it! Look forward to your 2024 adventures in Svalbard with Simon, just hope they will be as fantastic as this, except for the engine breakdown! Love your books, and the way you have described taking the image😊🇦🇺
ОтветитьProbably the best vid i have seen you make, i am desperate to get to this location
ОтветитьWow, what a journey. So glad the hiccup was only minor. You've come away with some spectacular photography. All your clients should have been extremely happy with theirs too! Wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
Ответитьare the video off ship drone footage?
Ответитьwhy the fuck would you need a dron license to fly in the middle of nowhere and permission to use the footage in a video...
ОтветитьThanks for sharing, I am not familiar with his work but I have been a documentary photographer since 1990 and know how hard being accepted as a photographer can be. Will look up his videos
Ответитьabsolut great movies and pictures! i start tomorrow to svalbard :)
ОтветитьAwesome video, loved it👏
Ответитьgreat video, great storytelling, absolute banger! didn't even realise it was 40mins long
ОтветитьThis parahelic circle indicates of an incoming storm within 2-3 days.
ОтветитьThank you so much for bringing the world into my home!! I am sitting here in awe of our amazing planet!
ОтветитьI am a nature photography student here at one of the schools here in Longyearbyen, Svalbard! On the 25th of September 2024 there was a polar bear walking just 7 km from Longyearbyen! I was on a hunting trip that had to be cancelled because of the polar bear! Seeing this video reminded me why I wanted to become a photographer!
ОтветитьThanks Thomas
Ответитьwhich company provide this package trip?
Ответитьgreat video...where did you get the travel photo tour package from ? what is the name? thank you
ОтветитьGreat video. Hending there in early June, looking fwd. Thx
ОтветитьThat engineer probably makes a fortune
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic experience. Somewhere I would love to visit. Your Polar bear images were ..........the best I have seen. I to am a wildlife and landscape shooter and I think it makes a difference. We include habitat and are not obsessed with details. Well done done boss.
