Whats the twist rate? Id like to see heavier bullets loaded to full power.

Did this actually cycle? I’ve had soooo many issues with my BCA 350 legend upper,I’ve polished I’ve cut mag lips/front of the mag…Im going crazy!!! I’m gonna just get a bolt action 350 gun at this point.really like the caliber(got it for wild hogs).

Seems like AR/M4 feed ramps do better with bottleneck cartridges like 458 SOCOM

.400 Legend sounds very interesting. 10mm/.400 is big bore 4 shore. That is a bear and hog round no doubt. That bore diameter just refuses to go away.

All these boutique cartridges will produce is heaps of scrapped uppers in the future. Maybe one or two will survive.

I bought a Bear Cheek upper and converted it to a side charger, paired it with my Palmetto State Armory lower with one of their 3.5 lb drop in triggers. Mounted a 3-9 Rifleman optic on it and used 10 round duramags, I bought from Midway. Took it to the range yesterday. It only took me 6 rounds to sight it at 50 yards with Win Power Point 215 grain ammo. It worked flawlessly. I am impressed, and I am an 76-year-old gun nut. I will use this gun for deer hunting. Not huge recoil and way more power than a 30-30 not to mention it is a semi auto. So wish I would have had this deer slayer back in my youth as I hunted with a 30-30 for years. Most of the time at close range a 30-30 would drop a deer but occasional they would run, and I would need to shoot again and that was a waste of good meat on the table. Now if only I could buy 215 grain bullets for reloading. I have bought some 10mm, 180 grain FMJ and we shall see what they do in a milk jug at 2000 fps.....(----:....yeah I know!!!

How does 400 Legend compare to 450 Bushmaster?

from what i hear about BCA i would look at the chamber before i blame the ammo being out of spec

It's user preference in the end, but you'll probably find that you have a better shooting experience with your red dots mounted all the way forward on the receiver. The housing will be much less intrusive to your peripheral vision.

Your field of view comes from your other eye. The FOV through the red dot itself makes no difference.

But my IDEA was the 7.62x39 case blown out to use a .40 cal bullet

You should try out aHeraArms CQR foregrip. I got them on every ar platform i own. 24 inch 22 inch 20 inch 18 inch 16 inch 13.5 and my 7.5 inch barrels all have heraCQR as the best foregrip in the world in my opinion. Not only looks sexy as hell but the hold options and push stop by far best forgrips i ever used. Before i got one i had 5 different kinds of grips and i never liked a one of them jyst kinda used them but cqr game changer. There are whats usually on the front of a p90. Get u one and i think u will buy more. If not ill buy it from u if u dont want it

Odd red dot placement 😂

I have a BCA 10.5" 8.6BLK and bought a 7.5" full upper when it became available. No issues with either. Still waiting for the BC-10 bolt action reciever to come into stock to see how quiet I can get the 8.6. Still wish they would finish the MaulAR lower, lever actions are the best all around in my opinion. Bolt action quiet and consistent shots, but faster fireing. Don't have gas cycling issues with fast, low gas, pistol powders like N110 and Lil Gun for quieter subs.

There’s a gunshot in my military town that has a used 7.62x39 upper Bear Creek upper PSA lower build for sale for $1300. I hadn’t heard of Bear Creek until I seen that build. I considered buying it because it felt solid and looked great. I’m so glad I didn’t after looking at the actual prices on Bear Creeks uppers. I’m definitely buying one to put on my lower though.

I could be wrong but wouldn't the subsonic ammo need the back pressure of a suppressor to work properly?.....but the again it is Winchester

I had a big feeding problem with my 350 LGD, bought a better barrel but still had the same problem. It's the feed ramps. If you want to run all kinds of ammo, you need to ground off the ramps to create one single ramp like a pistol. Mine works excellent now.

Try shooting it in 5 degrees F, you might get a couple to cycle but it won’t run a full mag. I guess it has something to do with the power used and pressure.

I’ve tried both 350 legend and 450 bushmaster and they both had the same problem, with temperature above 38 degrees F they ran great🤷🏻‍♂️

So essentially 350 legend is .356/358, 400 legend is .400 and 450 bushmaster is .452 if I’m understanding this correctly all these straight wall cartridges. Are simply just ultra magnumized pistol cartridges. And don’t get me wrong I think it’s cool as heck but that’s all they are just stretched out pistol cartridges. To get more versatility out of the projectiles

For me I scoped my Side charger AR by BCA in 6.5 Grendel. I have big hands I find it easier to use , than the traditional rear charger. The Side Charger requires more disassembly than the rear charger. Both have there strengths and weaknesses

I dont trust BCA, but i do like their side chargers and their chambering diversity. No one really does side charging the same as them which sucks imo, and i can get an ar in almost any round from them. 400 legend may not be the greatest or most practical but im a simp for 40 cal.

Winchester ammo is junk. Bca barrels are highly underrated.

I had similar issue with the subsonic rounds. Im using a mos tek precision barrel. I had 11 rounds not liking my rifle. I kept one good round to measure and compared it to the others. I didn't really find any out of spec. They felt snug pushing it into the chamber by hand but others nice and smooth. Never had any issues with the original rounds and i shot around 300-400 rounds. I cleaned my gun and now the subsonic that failed to cycle now fits by hand pushing into the chamber. They come out nice and easy as well. The forward assist didn't work for me also but after cleaning works perfect

I like this round. However, I would love it if the case head was the same as a milspec AR 15 bolt face. This is the only detriment I find with this round. They should have rebated the rim just a tad bit more. People don’t understand that this is a reliability issue with AR 15’s. We want versatility within the AR platform but not at the cost of reliability. This is why I am a huge supporter of the 6mm Max! I request you do a video on the 6mm Max cartridge and then rifle. Please and thank you.🙏
