A gun works by rapidly expanding gases from burning gunpowder to propel a bullet down a barrel. This process is triggered by a series of actions initiated when the trigger is pulled, ultimately leading to the bullet being launched from the muzzle.




Firearms typically consist of a barrel, action, stock (or grip), and sights. The barrel is where the projectile travels, the action is the mechanism for loading, firing, and ejecting ammunition, the stock provides support and is held by the shooter, and the sights help align the weapon with the target.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Basic Parts:
Barrel:
A metal tube through which the bullet travels, providing a path for the projectile. The inside of the barrel is often rifled to impart a spin to the bullet, enhancing accuracy and stability.
Action:
The mechanism that handles loading, firing, and ejecting cartridges. This includes parts like the hammer, firing pin, trigger, and other moving parts.
Stock (or Grip):
The part of the firearm that is held by the shooter. In long guns (rifles, shotguns), the stock is the butt that's held against the shoulder. In handguns, the grip is the area where the hand is placed.
Sights:
The front and rear sights help the shooter align the weapon with the target.
Other Important Parts:
Muzzle: The front end of the barrel where the bullet exits.
Chamber: The part of the barrel where the cartridge is held before firing.
Trigger: The part that is pulled to initiate the firing sequence.
Trigger Guard: A protective ring around the trigger to prevent accidental firing.

The spark from the primer ignites the gunpowder. Gas converted from the burning powder rapidly expands in the cartridge. The expanding gas forces the bullet out of the cartridge and down the barrel with great speed. The rifling in the barrel causes the bullet to spin as it travels out of the barrel.

🔫 Basic Gun Operation (for a typical firearm like a handgun or rifle)
1. Loading
A bullet (which is actually a cartridge) is loaded into the gun's chamber.

A cartridge has four parts:

Bullet (the projectile that gets fired)

Casing (holds everything together)

Gunpowder (provides explosive force)

Primer (a small explosive cap that ignites the gunpowder)

2. Firing
When you pull the trigger:

A firing pin strikes the primer at the back of the cartridge.

This ignites the primer, which lights the gunpowder.

The gunpowder explodes, creating high-pressure gas.

3. Bullet Launch
The pressure from the explosion pushes the bullet (just the front part of the cartridge) down the barrel at high speed.

The barrel has grooves (called rifling) that spin the bullet to keep it stable and accurate in the air.

4. Ejection & Reloading (in semi-auto or auto guns)
After firing, the gun uses the energy from the explosion to:

Eject the empty casing

Load a new cartridge into the chamber

Не совсем верно показан принцип работы при одиночной стрельбе. второй зацеп за курок тоже должен двигаться а у вас он на месте стоит.
