Roly if you are from the UK yes you would definitely understand about the guards in their horses. But if you are a tourist you may not get the idea that the horse could be violent toward you. And I think a lot of those people going up and visiting the guard and the horse or tourists. Now yes there's a sign that says warning the horse make kicker you did they definitely need to read that sign or put it up in a couple different languages of the people that are coming to the UK and visiting from foreign country. May be able to read it better have somebody translate it for them. Now I personally have never been to the UK so I'm not sure about all the rules and regulations that go along with the the guards in their horses. I do know you're really not supposed to talk to the guards because they are on duty and that could get them in trouble. Especially if they respond back to you and start having a conversation with you. But that's really about all I know about the guards over in the UK on the horses. I don't know too much about that part of the world because I've never been to the uk.technically speaking I have never left the United States of America I've been to Texas I've been to Colorado I've been to North Carolina I've been to Kentucky Tennessee gatlinburg. But that's really about it. I really ever go out of my area. Because I don't drive and I'd have to have somebody else take me if I did. I have a 7 month old baby and still put my cart back. You can park next to cart carrol, put your baby or kids in the car leave the door opened and put it back its next to you. I do it because I don't want a cart blowing into someone (or my own) car. Or I put away my groceries, take the baby to the corral and we walk back. Bonus excersie.

On the charging stations, at least in Alberta our electricity is made by burning natural gas, so up and above the cost of creating the charging station it trades one fossil fuel for another, so the woman had a point just the way it was formulated was very poor and cringe. My bf grew up with his mom being a person who constantly berated the service workers, always yelling and being rude to service workers. He now has ptsd because of it, and if I get too excited and raise my voice in public out of excitement, it's enough to cause him stress . He said he was constantly having to apologize for his mom's behavior, and loud voices bring him back to those childhood memories.

My mom had five kids to watch including me, and she always had time to put the cart back where it belonged even with five kids.

well some places that ban tourists are literally night clubs so idk how thats like the same issue as culture disrespect.

some ppl will also try to brush off the skin on darker people as if they had dirt on them. a lot of it is general discrimination. (including people who are from there but they look foreign and also are treated bad)

The way the second guy zeroed in on that woman when he said he would have tried to kill them if they didn’t give him money… It’s not “just a joke” when this shit ACTUALLY happens to women and AFAB people. Men actually DO kill us if we don’t give them money, sexual favors, or a smile.

The only people who have any right to leave their carts are handicap people that cant go far to return it due to the cart return not being close.

I worked at a theme park for five years and I can't tell you the amount of people that pulled that kind of shit everyday. Most likely they had security waiting for him at the end of the ride and he and his family got trespassed.

In some areas of Kyoto, mainly bigger parks and such, some people dress up to kimonos for fun. There it's okay to ask if you can take a picture - but that's the thing, ASK, politely. If they say no (and japanese people might not say "no" directly, "this is a bad time", "thank you for liking my outfit" and "I am uncomfortanle with photos" all mean explicitly NO. Basically everything that isn't explicit "yes" is an explicit "no". That's a good rule of thumb in Japan) say "sumimasen" and continue your life. On some areas it's completely forbidden and you shouldn't even ask. The outfits are beautiful, yes, but they are not there for you to gawk at them. You can tell the person (in japanese if you want to be polite) that they have a beautiful kimono, then wish them a good day. This is the extent of possibility in these areas.

Thesecond one is going to be why people arent good anymore. that woman will second guess helping someone the next time the situation arises. this isnt a prank this is killing humanity.

Edit: i feel like so many of todays "pranks" are all waiting for that Slap. while i dont advocate for violence and dont think that hitting people is generally the solutions i feel like there is a subset of people who are never given any pushback and generally there needs to be someone bigger than then to "hit back" to correct them. My nephew has gotten into hitting and while we direct him that that s not good and he gets told no frequently, he wont learn until someone hits him back. We, as adults aren going to do it because thats an imbalance of power but one of his peers sure will and it will serve him right.

That geiko is going to work. It's considered incredibly poor taste to do this to geiko in Kyoto (couldn't say about Tokyo geisha or in other cities), and not only is this (as Roly said) part of a culture and history, this woman is *going to work*. Her kimono are essentially her uniform (albeit incredibly beautiful wearable works of art). Stopping a person in this way at all is awful, but getting in the way of someone just trying to go out and make a living smh
