I'm a happily married (34 years), healthy,social, energetic, life-loving, early retired RN Manager, Ironman triathlete.
My husband and I were living the dream when the scare of ALS happened in late 2021. A Sports Medicine MD noted my leg muscle weakness showed potential signs of an upper motor neuron problem (reflex issues, atrophy, function). Within weeks, I developed paralyzing tailbone pain where I couldn't sit for 4 months, which progressed to about 12 other brutal symptoms.
The next 2 years were a nightmare of MD appts, (22 MDs, 7 MRIs, 3 nerve studies, hundreds of labs).
Full life to full stop with no answers.
In January 2024, I met an MD who disclosed his personal story of suffering that basically mimicked mine...and he was totally back to normal.
The HOPE light went on. I found FB groups with thousands like me and thru the sufferers/recoverers, learned of Sarno, Shubiner, Gordon, I learned and practiced (and most importantly) diminished the fear.
