I Went To The Erebus Factory And I Was SHOCKED By What I Saw!

I bought an Erebus mainly to support you. Now that I see what goes into it, I am even more excited to get my hands on it! Also, I'm a knife collector and in the past decade, China has made huge improvements in quality manufacturing. I own a few Chinese knives and they are mainly my EDC's.

Any information on what style of watch the second and third models are going to be? I missed the "pre-sale" window for the Origin and don't fancy overpaying relative to those who didn't so will probably pass on it altogether while looking forward to the next model/s.

This video doesn’t show the manufacture of anything, it shows the assembly of a watch by a room of watch assemblers. To try to discount the concerns of the manufacturing conditions without showing them is weak.

I don’t know how I missed this video and I am looking very forward to receiving my Jody watch! I’m flabbergasted I just tell professional this process is. Not at all what I would’ve expected.. I guess the most unexpected thing was the fact that they adjust the NH movement…. And not just in one position, but four!?!? And they pressure test it?! Wow… Just wow.

Can’t tell if I’ve just done too much research on the San Martin factory and happen to recognize it, or if I’m just wanting to feel in the know.

I have recieved the email that our watches are to be despatched early ( yay ). On 13/2 i then recieved a ohone call allegedly from DHL saying i had an item coming from Australia and named a watch company with a slightly different name. Apparently i was to be charged a hefty import tax on arrival. They asked for no details and i gave no info as believed fake …but coincidence so was it DHL? Jodie can you let us know if DHL would tell me this or would it be when it arrives in the UK ( i assume thats the case). Just dont want anyone scammed. Cheers

Hey Jody, just received my Origin and I’m loving it!!! I cannot begin to tell you and Mr. P how much you knocked this one out of the park. This is going to be one watch that will be hard to take off. Thank you both for making this!!!

I received my new Erebus in white and it look fantastic. Unfortunately, the bracelet is not great. I love the adjustable clasp, but the inner edges are too sharp. By the end of the day my wrist is sore. Also, that the bracelet is light and thin doesn’t help considering the heft of the watch head. Especially true if you wear your watch a little loose. Maybe it’s different on the flat link bracelets. I have the curved. I switched it to the Erebus FMK strap and it’s a pleasure to wear.

Well i have to say from from a factory the quality control is way way higher that I would have thought.

I been to shenzhen probably around 6 times. Its amazing how guangdong has grown from my first trip back in 2004. The factory parking lot back then was all bikes with maybe 1 car.

This is looking very nice indeed. Been saying for a long time that Chinese products often are much better than we give them credit for.
I work for a German heat pump manufacturer, doing the final testing and quality control, and we also sometimes get units that are built in China to inspect. The wiring and attention to detail on those is just so much better than anything I've ever seen produced here in our factory.

Honestly, this is brilliant marketing. Genuinely makes me feel more confident in buying an Erebus watch.

I personally love the yellow dial
And wish a company would make a proper matte yellow with a matte ceramic blue bezel.
That would be ideal nautical diver watch

just wonated to sy there is nothing wrong of making watches in china and the erebus watch is really a decent watch that I would consider to own one, but I have one question, I can't understand why you haven't visited the the factory earlier and before manufacturing the watchies and placing the orders?

Do they do the machining or is that contracted out?
