Hope we see him in a different jersey next year so he can finally win
ОтветитьWhat is interesting is what he DIDN’T say. None of the usual Captain’s rhetoric about how great it is to play in Edmonton or how great the fans are and how he would like to re-sign, but will have to consider things carefully. Instead he got right to the point. Maybe it means nothing! Maybe it means everything! Time will tell.
ОтветитьTry chasing every game Connor. The Oilers led the series for a total of 33 minutes 😂
ОтветитьThe fact that management hasn’t been able to put a well equipped team around him for 10 years to get the job done is frustrating for the “worlds best player”.
ОтветитьClass. All class
ОтветитьDoesn’t look like McDavid is in a rush to sign any type of extension…I do see a possible trade happen though because losing the best player in the world potentially for nothing won’t work for any organization…great interview though
ОтветитьAt what point do stars like Leon and Conner realize that the money your demanding for a contract hurts the team and lessens the money to sign other decent players to make the TEAM a true contender ... Greed will not win you a championship .
ОтветитьTo all those who blames Gary Bettman for the oilers loss, I don’t see how it is his fault when the management doesn’t do a good job building the team.
ОтветитьSounds like hes leaving to me. Thats why when they asked him if he thinks the team has potential to keep winning 1,2 3 4 5 years down the road he said ya next year after that i dont care. He going to play his last year out and go elsewhere sounds like. He doesnt seem happy from the interview.
ОтветитьNow up to management to give him and the team some helps. He sound like like if management not do anything about upgrades the roster. He’s considered it.
ОтветитьIf I'm Bowman.. I'm going after Eric Comrie and making some type of deal work for winnipeg to get him. Inexpensive and a huge improvement from what they currently run now. Comrie could get the job done in that crease for Edmonton. It's either that or get super aggressive and try to snatch up a #1 like Juuse Saros if the deal makes sense given Saros had a bit of a rough couple seasons and is due for a bounce back. He has proven he can be that guy but ultimately... I'm aiming for Comrie.
ОтветитьIf winning is the most important thing to him - he’s on the wrong team.
ОтветитьIf McDavid asked for 20 million we r cooked. We need defence men, not Nurse, Bouchard n not Ekholm. Top tier guys asking too much money n when playoff comes. They cannot compete. Even the best need entire 4 lines to produce to win.
ОтветитьIf he takes a small contract to free up some money for better line mates then we know winning is really his first priority.
ОтветитьSupposedly he wants to win because he’s supposedly the best player. Mcdavid is a fraud, call him “Mcfrauder”. He was out scored by Marchand 10 years older than him. What a loser 38 year old player out scoring a 28 year old player. Marchand made game changing and game winning goals. Mcfrauder pouts and wines and cries and can’t make pucks go in the net when it counts.
ОтветитьConnor, leave Edmonton before it's too late, they have wasted YEARS with you and drai and simply refuse to build a team around you.
ОтветитьWhy not go to the panthers?
ОтветитьYou will be a colorado avalanche this offseason and win the cup 2026🙏
ОтветитьSounds like a Dallas Star to me.
ОтветитьOne thing I love about this guy, he's always been about business, not just the money, unlike our Leafs' core 4.
He’ll come here to actually take us to the next level.
You know we’ll take care of you, and as for the fans? We’ve been losers, but patient ones... waiting through 9+ years of playoff no-shows.
Come back home, McDavid. It’s time. You’ve always wanted to play here, now’s the time is almost there.
We won’t sign anyone this year, will be keeping our cap wide open, just to show how serious we are about bringing you in.
loser
ОтветитьDude deserves a freaking cup man.
ОтветитьHats off to then for even making it back there there one more great player to win it all
Ответитьobviously obviously obviously
Ответитьobviously obviously obviously obviously obviously obviously
ОтветитьEveryone saying mcdavid is leaving, realistically where would he go? Edmontons been the second best team, and best in the west for TWO YEARS... and thats without an elite goalie. If Mcdavid wanted money he could go anywhere, he wants to win.
everyone said drai was leaving last year but he stayed. you dont think they talked? I wouldn't be surprised if he took a team friendly deal to somehow get a the missing pieces, and a goalie. I love Stu, but hes young and goalies tend to get better with age. He would be a great backup. Nurse contract is killing them though, not team friendly at all. They need to put that money into goaltending. I am an oilers fan, and i will support Connor regardless. And when that Stanley cup finally comes for him, I'll be cheering for him regardless of what team he's on.
“This core has been together for a long time, and we’ve been building to this moment all along, and the work that’s going behind the scenes — the conversations, the endless disappointments and some good times along the way as well — we’re all in this together, trying to get over the finishing line — with that being said, ultimately I still need to do what’s best for me and my family, that I have to take care of first, but we have unfinished business here”.
He’s staying.
He said winning is the most important thing. Matthews has two years left. Connor has one. Mcdavid and Matthews will not be playing together in a leafs jersey
ОтветитьI really hope he leaves better for his legacy his career if he wants to win a cup
ОтветитьBouchard should play winger on the 3rd line and get a solid Dman in his place Bouchard is terrible on D.
ОтветитьMakes me so happy to see McGayvid crying again
ОтветитьHes coming to Toronto. Hes wanted to play there his whole life
ОтветитьHe’s leaving Edmonton for sure. He has to. He can’t win there
ОтветитьI honestly don't mind this guy personally, it's the fanbase and the hype around him. Calling him McJesus is just absurd. No one deserves the word Jesus to their name. NO ONE. Im an Avs fan and MacKinnon could be 4 more cups in and rack up 70 goals per season and i wouldn't dare refer to MacKinnon as Jesus lol I love hockey but come on they're just hockey players at the end of the day. although I can't deny the passion of the oilers fan base, they still come off as a bit much. Especially for a team that hasn't won the cup in over 30 years. If McDavid were to go to some other team. Preferably out east then I wouldn't mind rooting for him then. I just don't want him to win the cup with Edmonton
ОтветитьNecas, Girard. Wood. Two 1st Rounders, a 2nd a 3rd and a 5th.
ОтветитьThe LeBron of the nhl. -4 in game 6 and has contradicted himself in this interview on multiple occasions lol.
ОтветитьLOL Dear Oiler fans you shitting your pants yet...The generational talent, the superstar that has carried your non existent "Team" sounds like hes had enough of losing for a decade. His body language and just the vague response to contract questions is a pretty good indicator that this guy is looking to find a team that will win the cup with a goal tender that isn't a over paid paperweight. He wants a "win" this man already has one foot out the door, and if you think for even a second there isn't an NHL Team in the league that doesn't auto sign him you are cracked.
ОтветитьSince everyone's talking about trades, yes the rumors are true. McDavid is going to the lakers as a point guard.
ОтветитьLots of delusional Leafs fans around here. Nah, boys, Connor is not going to Toronto.
ОтветитьTime to come home to both families and bring wifeys business home too and win a cup in Toronto
ОтветитьWhy doesn’t ANYONE ASK HIM…THE BIG QUESTION.. WOULD he take a pay cut so they can get some better players to help him win the cup, or is he just in it for his money?
ОтветитьWhy doesn’t ANYONE ASK HIM…THE BIG QUESTION.. WOULD he take a pay cut so they can get some better players to help him win the cup, or is he just in it for his money?
Ответить$100 million contract extension with the Edmonton Oilers, Why doesn’t ANYONE ASK HIM…THE BIG QUESTION.. WOULD he take a pay cut so they can get some better players to help him win the cup, or is he just in it for his money?
ОтветитьA leader would get better players to help him. $100 million contract extension with the Edmonton Oilers, Why doesn’t ANYONE ASK HIM…THE BIG QUESTION.. WOULD he take a pay cut so they can get some better players to help him win the cup, or is he just in it for his money?
ОтветитьSorry to have to say. The road to Stanley is not with a Canadian team.
ОтветитьI wanna take half my team’s cap and then wonder why we can’t win 😂
ОтветитьLet’s get McDavid some PR training. Dude needs some help. Gratitude is the answer to an optimistic future.
ОтветитьWould he do better on a better team such as Florida or even Toronto? Toronto put up a much better fight. Maybe it's time for him to say bye bye to the Oilers.
Ответить
