great video! would love to see how you run the device into your computer, specific cables and outputs etc.
ОтветитьHow was the recording set up? Did you use GX as an audio interface or did you run it through another audio interface?
ОтветитьEnjoyed watching your GX-100 videos today as I am considering one. Really nice demonstrations and pleasant to listen to... love the focus on the clean/edge tones, which is where I live most of the time. Also... LUNA!!! Right on. I've moved 100% over to LUNA and could not be happier... what a great DAW. So easy to get great sound so fast without jumping through a ton of hoops.
ОтветитьCan someone help me out ,can you connect this pedal straight to a mixer
ОтветитьLike the GX 100 better.!!!
ОтветитьPretty darn close to the real thing. To my ears, I noticed that (very, very subtle) the real amp recording provided more clarity and space as if the gtr was better placed in the mix. I'm not sure whether you could tweak the reverb/eq or the parallel processing (as Sheps likes to do in his mixes) to compensate. But very impressive. I'm definitely sold on upgrading my gear to the GX-100. It's a must have as a studio recording artist. Thank you for a great video.
ОтветитьGreat video!
Am I understanding that, if I like the sound of my amplifier, I don't have to select an amp model and can just run an effects chain just like if I had individual pedals going into the front input of my amp?
Awe, Hew is a lucky guy, sounds like this guy thinks about him a lot. 😊
ОтветитьBeautiful playing. I have to say that the gx100 sounded great , the matchless was superb. Listening through my reciever and stereo speakers it was full. it just filled the space. great review of the gx100 , but also let that matchless shine.
Ответить😊
ОтветитьHi Paul, another question, probably stupid. But before that, I did get the GX-100, and really like it so far, and your videos were one of the big reasons. So, thanks! Just wondering though - while recording from the line outs to an audio interface, does the sample rate matter. The GX-100 has a sample rate of 48 kHz, so should I set the interface and DAW to to 48 kHz or is the line out sending an audio / wav signal in which case it doesn't matter, and I can set the interface / DAW at any sample rate I like. Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьSounds awesome
ОтветитьFortunately, it will be quite a while, I believe, before we see any significant "improvement" beyond this AIRD amp tech that sounds to me at least on par with even Amplitube 5's great sound quality. "Fortunately" because we are indeed fortunate to be able to enjoy this sooner than later. Plus, Roland-Boss' reliability, electronics build quality and precision soldering are truly Pro Level impeccable.
ОтветитьHope you see this. With the sound when recording. Do you hear it through the computer or do you have to plug a headset into the processor?
ОтветитьDude!!! Amazing playing!!! I think I like a little bit more with the GX100😊
ОтветитьWhat’s name of this song please??
ОтветитьPersonally I think the gx100 stinks biggest load of rubbish boss has reliesed
ОтветитьAbsolutely nice sounds! I'll follow this channel because you've got a way to explaine very clear and simple. Just ordered this unit and you are a great help! Thanks Paul and great playing!
Ответитьone question only, which one do you prefer? gx100 or gt1000 core?
ОтветитьWhat song is this? Fantastic! I want to cover it 😃
ОтветитьGreat demo. I must ask are Boss's most recent devices a full from the ground up rewrite of there code or have they rehashed some older stuff?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing!
This is how a real demo is done - a concrete example with a song in need of a clean but something crunchy Fender amp/guitar sound. So again you get a clear and concrete step-by-step explanation of the process of recording with the device in question. All parameters, alternatives, and decisions are explained and presented visually, orally, and in audio for your convenience. So now after this clip you, as an attentive viewer, should have no problems getting eg. Keith Richard's Guitar sound in "Start Me Up" or in Jimmy Hendrix's "Little Wing" etc. Now it is only a matter of will for those who own this product to experiment and find their own combination of amplifiers, effects, etc.
First, where can I purchase this song!?!? That’s some good stuff!
Second, what PEQ settings do you recommend for different amps?
Does it have balanced output ?
ОтветитьI actually liked the GX-100 better than the amp tones.
ОтветитьBrilliant Paul. Had my GX a couple of weeks now and live it. The sound is phenominal and I cant really see me using my pedal board anymore when a Unit sounds as good as this. And for the money Im blown away. 😊
ОтветитьI don't understand how he got stereo panning from the delay block when it was followed by a mono reverb block. Shouldn't the reverb have summed all the audio to one channel again? If someone could explain this to me, that'd be great! :)
Ответитьi have one of this gx100.been a year of user of it,now i see and hear its full potential.
ОтветитьThe vocals with GX-100 are more in front and clear because the guitar tone has less treble/presence. It's always good to hear things like this because they can help with the understanding of frequencies and how they work together.
ОтветитьWhat is the title of the song sir in the introduction.. Thank you sir...
ОтветитьThis is the first demonstration I’ve seen since getting my own GX–100. Between how carefully you explained the way to shape a sound and how good the finished product came out in the playback, I definitely feel as if I made the right choice. I was going to get the Core, and I’m thankful that I discovered this existed at the last second.
ОтветитьBeautiful song!
ОтветитьLove this song - added to my playlist.
Not that anyone asked (that's what a comment section is for, right) but I can't help wondering what the verse would feel like with the guitar part less busy? It's a beautiful part in isolation (like in the intro) but...I'll get my producer coat, my copy of What Do I Know Anyway monthly and piss off...
Great video.
that was really nice song listen too 😄😄. teach that riff
ОтветитьHi. I just bought the GX 100 and have a question. Is there any setting I need to do using it with frfr Headrush 108 speakers ? Thanks in advance 🙏
ОтветитьWould you think about taking something like this on a platform or stage with an amp on clean tone in the back line miked ? Or just a paddle board with several different pedals?
Beautiful music like the other guy said really good playing. 🙏😊
You reinforced the age old "it's in the hands" lesson. I heard the tone at first and thought "damn, that is incredibly good". Then when you started actually dialing it, it sounded quite harsh with just big chord strums, too much high string. And yet, once you started playing the written part, it sounded exactly as good as it did at first. All the other dialing was just icing. Most of what I liked about the tone was in the touch and playing the lower strings more.
ОтветитьHi perfect tone. How is such a clean tone possible without using a noise gate?
ОтветитьNice job Paul - great tone and touch. Thanks for the comparo - very helpful.
ОтветитьWhat about a really clean tone for finger-style electric nylon string? Like Godin Multiac or Gibson Chet Atkins CEC?
ОтветитьGx100 or gt 1000 core for studio recording? 🤔
ОтветитьGreat music! Please tell me how to record the processor GX-100 correctly. I use the USB output for direct connection, but the sound is very different from what is in the headphones. The problem is in my old computer (AMD 4-3300 4 GB) or do I need to buy an audio interface?
ОтветитьWhat a nice music, i want to hear that!
ОтветитьThe boss sounds quite a bit better tbh
ОтветитьDoes plugging the GX-100 into the "power amp in" of a Katana disable the IRs in the GX-100?
Ответитьi subscribed right after the intro. you completely pulled me in brother
ОтветитьJust wondering what audio interface you used? Or if you used the gx100 interface straight in? Wondering if the just plugging it straight in is any good
Ответитьyou're amazing this song is great .
ОтветитьThat song is wonderful
