I picked up one of those PDP sticks earlier this year (MK9-themed and for the PS3 by the way), and I know exactly what you're talking about. Even if you go full-stop with mostly focusing on one button at time, you definitely wear both your fingers and wrist after a while.

MK3, UMK3, UMK3+, even MK Trilogy, this game is always a joy to watch, UMK3 in particular really is the Super Turbo of Mortal Kombat, extremely fast paced, requires very good understanding of the game at high level and very exciting.

Really enjoyed the watch as someone who grew up loving this game. Loved the voice over commentary too!

i enjoy watching UMK3 footage but man i wish the stages were randomized instead of on a preset track.

i don't like any of the ones introduced in ultimate all that much and you need to play like 10+ consecutive matches before you start seeing vanilla MK3 stages, which i like the music & look of a lot more

This game is so legendary.

A thing I really appreciate about Ketchup is how he constantly points out when the person he was playing did something well, as well as how he openly admits to messing up a few times. You see some players get so caught up with competitiveness to be a good sport, yet everything I’ve seen from Ketchup and Mustard both just paint them as people who love the fun of fighting games over the need to win.

I used to try to play this at a local arcade when I was 11, and I was terrible at it.

Watching matched players play this is awesome. I was always too crazy a player that my brother and cousins never usually beat me. Like it was almost unfair. But watching this with the little competition knowledge I have is fun.

Cyrax zoning kabal reminded me of DJT and REO

I’ve really enjoyed these klassic gameplay videos and, strangely, despite me rewatching the ones I found several times, the algorithm has been really keeping the rest from me. Glad to stumble on some more!

I feel Cyrax is not played properly by many, so he gets this rep of being really bad. Sure, he's got flaws, but I think in certain MUs Cyrax is supposed to be more aggressive and just not really try to zone. Like vs Ermac & Smoke who teleport to invalidate nets and most forms of bombs, Rax is supposed to mostly play aggro against them and only occasionally place close bombs to bait the teleport that way if they try to push some pressure after the teleport, they can't because the bomb is right up under Rax and ready to disrupt them. Has excellent combo game against male ninjas, so there's also that. I always felt what with Rax'es combos off his throws that he's an aggressive character who just has "counter-camping" specials to facilitate and compliment his gameplan rather than being exclusively a zoner, but thats just me I guess.

Though I do think Rax can be better in certain MUs if played differently, I do agree regardless how he is played, both subs completely destroy him. Just one freeze or puddle from c sub can be game over for Rax and good luck even touching unmasked, there's just nothing he can really do about it.

What I really like about this - and also loathe about the MUGEN version of "MK Solano Edition" I've been playing lately - is that - on the Solano remix, they changed all the grunts, groans, and run yells...nostalgia me is all NOOO I want everyone to sound like they do HEEERE what are you DOING?!?!?

Well, that and so many of the combos I see here just - they clearly did something to the solano edition to make them fail. Like - none of Stryker's work anymore, nor Reptile's dash infinites.
