Yogg changed how hearthstone gets developed fundamentally. After Yogg the game has increased its randomness by an insane amount. He started the downfall.

The problem about patches is you run a dumb pirate package just for him. Unless you play rogue or warrior, the pool of pirates is not great. Brann is a combo card but synergizes with any class as long as they have some good battlecries. At the end Brann should have won.

Did we have a zephrys here? Feel like he couldve been a real competition.
Patches is just broken, and gives you so much tempo, but the 1/1doesnt win you the game on his own, especially not nowadays with all this powercreep.
But cards like astalor, baku or zephrys actually win you the game on their own sometimes, I guess its hard to define the best card, I definitely see an argument for patches being the best card ever released.

Yes, patches is good, but without charge it's nowhere near as good as other top legendaries. Rarran is either coping out of his mind or still traumatized from the pre-nerfed version

If you drew Patches, you griefed yourself into a loss. So there is no way it’s the best Legendary.

I do not think Patches should have beat Shudderwock. Especially since we're talking about the current state of the card. Patches is good, but nowadays he really isn't run anywhere because he's just not as impactful anymore. Sure he's a good card, and if you're running pirates you don't really have a reason to not run him, but he's still not the insane meta breaking card he was. I really think that should've been considered more when deciding to pick Patches.

This was only ever between the 4 cards that give you something for free at the start of every game without even having to draw them: Baku, Genn, Patches, and Prince Renathal.

to be honest, I think Genn would've beaten patches, they have a lot in common but I think genn would take it because of even shaman in wild, which is literally botted to legend

I don't play hearthstone, so this is probably going to sound ridiculous to those in the know, but... Why is The Demon Seed good?

I might be reading it wrong, but I see a 1 mana card you always start with, requires a semi-specific but easily achievable goal, and then finally, grabs 3 life from the enemy hero and never does anything else again after that.

That seems like a worse version of Gonti's Machinations from MTG, just 3 damage and 3 life after some set-up and then what?

I'd say in the current form. Likely Genn or Tony, cause unlike patches it defines entire decks.

I feel like Dr Boom was overlooked. In its meta it was played in EVERY deck. I’m pretty sure everyone that had the card played it. It’s part of the reason wild even exists. Maybe I’m just a boomer.
