YUP... OUR house in Annandale cost my Ole Man $32,000 to build in 1959...brick and block construction. In 1969 we built a stick house at Lake of The Woods in Orange County and The Price Tag on that was $34,000. In ten years a stick house 60 miles FROM Fairfax was More than that WELL BUILT HOME...but I THINK THAT house went for $1,390,000 last I checked. We went to school there...just couldn't afford to live there 50 years ago.
