WHen President Obama sang Amazing Grace it inspired Transatlantic Folksinger Zoe Mulford to write a song called "When My President Sang Amazing Grace". It has been made into a children's book, been sung by Joan Baez in her farewell tour, and loved by many who have heard it. Obama inspired so many with what he did that day.

These are the people who contributed to destroying America. No real life experience whatsoever writing the President's speech on issues that affect our lives. He wrote Obama's slogan: 'If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor". Destroyed the lives of millions of people along with his mentor Obama, but have to never account for it.

Interesting watching this in 2023. Trump won….and did none of those things he said he would do. He actually did the opposite. However, I digress. I love John Favreau! Brilliant! Entertaining! And one of my favorites! His Podcast is one of the few I will listen to. Much better than the news that has become a financial machine…rather than reporting the news. Trump is their big money maker and they gave him the platform to win ( Putin gave his own little nudge to Trump). I wish we could all have the hope that John and Obama talked about years ago. Our Country is a very different place than it was 10 years ago.

It's crazy going back and watching something pre-Trump. What a world we live in.

I was 13 during the 2016 election. In many ways, I do not know the pre-crazy times. It's funny how optimistic Jon is for Trump to take a moderate position and give Clinton a tough time, but she'd still pull through.

I’m watching this in 2023, as DJT:

- is facing 91 indictments (for current cases)
- was found liable (guilty) in a civil sexual abuse case,
- was found liable in a civil case where he defrauded banks & insurers,
- was found liable in a civil charity fraud case (and is banned from operating or being on the board of any charity/foundation in NY state)
- absolutely botched handling America’s response to a world pandemic that has resulted in the deaths of over 1 million people in the U.S.,
- plus all the rest…


…. And he is still the frontrunner for a major U.S. political party despite his obvious goal of turning our democracy (okay, “constitutional federal republic”) into an authoritarian state.

My grandfathers — one a white collar, serial entrepreneur & card-carrying Republican, the other a coal miner who came here from Italy at 17yo & supported Democrats — are both churning in their graves.

BTW: They both would have loved Obama.
