Why not mention charging networks??? Nothing rivals the Tesla network in the USA. Tesla not only has the best EV but also offers the broadest charging network that its reliable.

Great that there are so many EV models. Electrification is well under way. Still, out of all the super features, FSD has become the most important to me and I don't believe that other companies can catch up to Tesla any time soon.

High charging speeds are worthless if chargers can't support them. Which is currently the case.

Another alternative is the Cadillac Optiq. Similar to the Chevy Blazer but more luxurious.

Teslas are superior because of the availability of full self driving. If you simply compare car statistics, there are cars that can be comparable or beat Tesla on price. But Tesla will be the only car that will be able to make money for their owner in the Robo taxi network.

Thanks for another great video Viking! There's also the Cupra Tavascan EV- another VW MEB product. The base RWD model reportedly drives better than the AWD. I hope to test drive it before the Zeekr 7x arrives in Australia later in 2025.

Don't test drive a Model Y if you are cross shopping, it's too good. I test drove it and was completely blown away, wasn't planning on buying a new one to replace my older Y, but placed an order the next day after test driving, its incredible.

We all know know you love your Chinese cars. But i Denmark we have just discovered that the Chinese solarpanels has components installed that shouldn't be there (you know spy stuff.) Therefore you cannot own anything owned by China you simply cannot trust them.

As a full package, Tesla model Y is the best car. FSD is very cheap in USA.

You probably should have mentioned the size of the Polestar 4. It’s huge and certainly too big for me. I’d never be able to park it.

In America it is the Tesla charging network that makes all the others pretty much awful. Unless they can be charged at a Tesla site, then there is a real burden to buying something else.

Here in the UK we also think about the Cupra Tavascan (MEB), Ford Explorer (MEB not the large US version), KGM Torres EVX, MG S5, Opel/Vauxhall Grandland, Peugeot 3008, Renault Scenic E-Tech ans Smart #5. On the continent, they have the older BYD Seal-U and Vinfast VF8 and a couple of older Chinese cars as well. That's before we add in the premium brands!

Forgot the Cupra Tavascan. Also I think you should also mention Tesla Super charger compatibility as it is an important factor. It’s why I think the Sealion is better deal than the Xpeng

A few weeks in to owning the geely and and it’s a literal dream to drive, no car sickness .

no, I looked at polestar and customer service is not there and software package left too much to be desired.
WAY lower efficiency. I liked the styling though wanted a wagon.

These cars are still to expensive. When someone builds a small car for £15k I'll buy it. I don't care about range, charging speed, and I don't need a big screen, just a phone holder, my cheap phone can do everything.

When I buy a car I usually keep it for 6+ years so I'm concerned about long term service and support.  As part of that are they profitable? If they aren't profitable there is a high likelihood they will go out of business.  The only company I know of that is profitably making EVs is Tesla.  Why take the risk and buy something other than a Tesla?
