2025 VW Tiguan Review | Is This A Budget Audi? Or A RAV4 Wannabe?

Hopefully, they will offer some kind of 'trail sport' model. The 2 liter turbo engine is appreciated over the very weak 1.5 used in the Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain. Unfortunately, like the GM twins, no hybrid is offered.

Thank GOD they fixed the steering wheel and added buttons back in. Also, having an adjustable armrest way better than the current Tiguan.

I don't like the marketing teams that spec the trims out. A Golf GTI S, the lowest trim, has a heated steering, but you say for this you need to spec it out highly to get a heated steering wheel? I guess you're just going to need to buy the steering wheel with heating and wire in a new fuse like you would with a Honda Civic.

No 360 camera and other high-end features.

The trunk might be bigger below the cover, but it makes me wonder how it works in real life without the cover.

Forester has a good visibility, so the devider is low. The rear glass is almost vertical and tall items can be stacked very close to the edge.

There are still no buttons for AC control?

People said this looked much nicer than the new Q5 and I didn't believe them. Well they were right, Audi interior looks cheap compared to this.

I use the third row on my 2024 Tiguan SE a lot since I use it to do rideshare in Los Angeles yes is small and I always put the short people in the back and for shorter trips less than 30 miles it ghets the job done and also my nephews that are 7 and 9 love sitting ion the back, so yeah i am going to miss that third row

I wish every manufacturer would copy the center armrest. The ability to actually adjust the armrest is so nice on longer trips.

The more I see it the more I don't like the design direction of VW

I prefer the front end and rear lights of the lower trim but would like the other bells and whistles. Wish we got the Ultraviolet color of the Tayron in the UK.

I wish they would tuck that wiper under the rear spoiler and not a fan of the illuminated vw logo

Saw one of these in person at an auto show earlier this year. It's every bit as premium as it seems. I love my 2019 Jetta SEL Premium, but this new Tiguan has me intrigued and tempted to make a move, tariffs notwithstanding. :)

Same interior materials as an Audi Q5 with a more pleasing layout. Still wish it had physical controls but much nicer than the Audi. Really speaks to how garbage the Audi Q5 interior is. I do appreciate the separate steering control buttons here as opposed to the to the big block button on the Audi

This is absolutely a step in the right direction for VW and I can’t wait to see where they go from here

It's been a long time but VW America finally is getting back on track to where they were a decade or more ago. This is the right direction VW should take with all of their vehicles.

Some models have moved away from the tacked on tablets. It's too bad this one added it.... and removed physical buttons. The screen on my 2019 is big enough and i have buttons too. It's also nicely imbedded. Sigh.

i like the design but sucks they don't offer hybrid options in 2025. if you are going to compete with the likes of toyota and honda, gotta at least give that option. no physical knob is interesting since many started that way only to backtrack. guess we'll wait for sales numbers.

Agree with you fellows on the front end with its frown. In Europe, they have offer a luxury line which really tames the front end.

The top trim is going to get that 201 hp engine for 3 months and then it’s going to be replaced with a 267hp engine. Don’t buy that top trim until they bring the much more powerful engine.

CORRECTION: The power liftgate is STANDARD starting with the SE trim. It is not an exclusive feature of the top SEL R Line trim.
