On average, what does CMS pay private MA plan insurers per enrollee per month to cover Medicare beneficiaries?
Aren't the private MA plan insurers (for-profit corporations) working to privatize all of Medicare, to takeover the Medicare fund?
Maximizing profits with their institutional decisions to deny claims.
Healthcare should not be this complicated and patients shouldn't have to shop for their plans and doctors every year.

I know you are getting out of the Part D recommendations, but one thing of which some new to Medicare may not be aware, you do need to confirm with your pharmacy of choice as to whether or not they will accept your upcoming Part D plan. For example, the plan offered by Aetna is affiliated with CVS under their Caremark services, and is not accepted at some major pharmacies such as Walgreens. It is accepted at many local pharmacies, but may be considered out of network, and you might be paying a little higher price for certain medications. This is just a heads up, as some may think prescription plans are universally accepted.

Keep teaching! Yes, I found Medicare to be confusing when first starting. Thankfully, in my personal opinion, I understood the Advantage “concept”. Yeah. Did I feel stupid paying a monthly premium while friends were getting “free” Medicare coverage? Yes. But I did my research. When cancer hit, I was covered for some very expensive tests and treatments. I’m delighted that you are giving information to the public! I wish you continuing career success as I admire your ethical standpoint.

I turned 65 in February. I didn't sign up for Medicare. I'm still working full-time and have coverage through my employer. Should I sign up this enrollment period? I'll continue to work until I reach my full retirement age in August.

Why does it have to be so confusing to the most vulnerable population it’s sickening to me. Now I have to pay out more money for my MAPPS program or not have full coverage that’s $241.00 a month extra which I can’t really afford out of my SS, so if I stop working my part time job what happens? I can’t work forever nor do I want too, remember it’s the golden years. Right 🤨

Thank you, Stephanie, for your great videos. Carter, ftom your company, has been helping me navigate enrollment in Medicare and a plan G and part D plan. He has been very helpful and has been good about following up. I wish I could say the same about my previous employer, who is taking forever to provide me with an L564 form. 🤨

I had an agent call me and pretend she was a social security agent. She was willing to come to my home and help me . I thought she was ligit because i am on SSD. As she spoke about different plans she had available, i started to realize she was a Medicare Advantage rep. I finally told her, I'm feelings VERY uncomfortable, we need to cancel that appointment.

I am so happy I found your videos before I enrolled in Medicare! I have referred people to you as well. Start early figuring this stuff out! I got Medicare in March of last year, and on the 20th of that same month I got a cancer diagnosis. I am very pleased with my Medicare decisions because the costs have been very reasonable.

Thank you Stephanie for all the work you do. Someone from your office help me to enroll in United health but they diagnose me with fibromyalgia in 2021 and no my chiropractor is saying that they won't pay for my visit unless I have a flare up and I only have 10 visit leave which is helping me a lot but if I wait until I have a flare up then it is going to be too much pain what can I do for the upcoming year to change to one that will pay for my chiropractor visit at least once a week?

I live in Hawaii, I’m 62 on SSD. I was taken off Medicaid, due to income, on June 30th. That is when I signed up for Medicare Advantage and a private insurance to help cover what isn’t covered by Medicare Advantage, because I wasn’t qualified for Medigap in my state, until I turn 65.

I am still eligible to get xtra help from Medicaid for Plan D and plan B premiums.

When I turn 65 will I be able to go back on regular Medicare with a Medigap plan or am I stuck being on Medicare Advantage?

Thank you for your videos. They are very informative and easy to understand.

Don't ever buy anything from a sales person on the phone or invites themselves to your home. If YOU didn't call them and/or invite them, then don't buy anything. Thst covers ANYTHING.

My first rule is I "NEVER" answer a phone call from numbers not in my contacts. These callers never leave a message or I can choose to ignore the caller's message when it is obviously a sales call. Legitimate callers get my immediate attention.

How about those that received a cancellation letter on advantage care plan for next year. Their plan C is no longer available in 2025. Can they now switch to a Original Medicare supplement plan like plan N?

A couple of years ago, I decided to change my Medicare supplement plan provider. I forget the details, but I went from a standard deductible to a high deductible plan with a different provider. I assumed that when you change providers that the previous provider was automatically cancelled. In February, I realized I was being charged for both the old plan and the new. It was fairly easy to take care of, but put me in a panic I didn’t need. along with two monthly payments out of pocket (no refund).

I did receive a notice of change from our individual health insurance- BCBS.
My question is: is that who I stay with when I start Medicare in January 2025?
Thank you very much,
